"Went here to hike and walk around neat Mount Fuji, however, it was rainy and foggy. Staying at this hotel made up for this bad weather. Took advantage of having the spa treatment and massage. It was very relaxing two days for our trip to Japan."

"A most excellent property and staff! Highly recommend - 5 ***** star rating. View of Fuji-San is amazing. Gardens and Koi pond are well maintained. Spacious room with plenty of storage for luggage, large closet, sofa and chair. Onsen and breakfast buffet are fantastic! Staff is very helpful and kind. Hourly Shuttle service to/from Kawaguchiko Station was very useful, 10 min away. Nabeya Japanese restaurant was delicious and only 3 min walk away."

"The property was gorgeous and the staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived and were met by staff who took care of our arrival and explained the various baths to us. The food was amazing and plentiful. The private baths were clean and tranquil. Sitting in the hot spring while listening to the river below was an experience I will not soon forget. Add that to the beautiful scenery and it was a trip to be remembered."

"This inn is in a very convenient location- it’s very central. Easy cab or Uber ride from the station, or easy enoigh to take a bus. 5 minutes from Kenrokuen. Be aware this is a Japanese style inn with shared toilet facilities and a shared Japanese style bathroom. The shower / bath is open each evening but not in the morning. The bathroom door does lock so you do have privacy. The innkeeper and family live on site and are very welcoming and friendly. We were allowed to leave our luggage for a short time after check out. They were also helpful witj specific restaurant recommendations. If you want a genuine Japanese ryokan"

"It‘s a bit of the beaten path and not fancy but the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you get a room looking out over the lake you can see Mt Fuji from your bed if it’s not hiding."
