"Stayed here with 3 others and found the location to be very accommodating. The location fit our needs with respect to private parking, security, and location to the beach. We were also able to cook meals in the kitchen which added to the convenience. Avellanas is a great beach town and the beach was a short walk away. It was nice lounging around in the hammock and enjoying the scenery. I would gladly go back."

"This resort has seen better days! Most of the structures are older and have not been kept in good repair. Wood decking around pool area is coming loose and is hazardous. Pool itself needs repairs. Rooms are more rustic but have modern combo locks on dorrs. our lock malfunctioned, so we were upgraded to the deluxe "house". This was much bigger and better with a full kitchen, and was further from the main road which meant it was quieter. staying in units near the road would be very loud. Staff was friendly & helpful and they have a lot of regular activities which would make this place better suited to a younger crowd. included salsa dancing, reggae or disco dance nights, etc. Food is average for the area. resort is a little isolated compared to both Guiones and Pelada beaches. Good, quiet business center. couldnt find 1 spoon in the large common kitchen. pretty basic."

"It was very nice, but be aware that there is a $200 fee when you check in for incidentals. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly, ask questions because information is not volunteered!"

"The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the free tea and coffee and the breakfast was filling. The air conditioning in the room chilled.it quickly. Only concern was that the building work on it started early in the morning. From an 8 year old: I loved the pool so much."

"The Hideaway Hotel is a wonderful place. My room was large and airy. A private patio looked out lush gardens. Breakfast overlooking the pool was great and plentiful with many choices- try the Típico it was really good. The staff were awesome and very polite and helpful. Nancy in particular was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel."

"This is the best place to stay in this area of Nosara! Beautiful grounds, peaceful atmosphere and aesthetic, many breakfast options included with the stay. Included yoga classes led by experienced and excellent teachers, cruiser bikes were fun to ride, and the longer pool hours are much appreciated. We loved our stay and plan to be back. Would love if in-room coffee was replenished daily with housekeeping services. "
