"Hotel was very clean, well kept, and quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They welcomed me, my fiance, and dog into the hotel with a smile and made sure to point out all the extras our room came with ( free drinks, free tickets for mini golf, discounted restaurant coupons, etc). They also texted me throughout our stay to ask if we needed anything. We will be booking here in the future!"

"We had an oceanfront room on the third floor of the south tower. The room and view were Lovely and the staff was very helpful (even though my room wasn’t ready and it was past the 4pm check-in time). After going to sleep, I was awoken in the middle of the night by a very loud sound I can only describe as a wind tunnel…I was awake most of the night because of it. In the morning I asked if anyone had complained and was told maintenance would check. It wasn’t a motor cycling or any other equipment and could be heard outside the room and down the hall. Less than 45 minutes later, I’m told the folks in the adjoining room left their balcony door open and they would be asked to close it. Seriously!? I got an oceanfront room to hear the ocean and would have had mine open a bit but it made the sound worse. I next asked to cancel the second night and was told it couldn’t be done. They did move me to the second floor oceanfrontt and upon opening the balcony door, the sound was back… not as bad as the top floor but still audible. Never again at this hotel, and I am surprised at Mariott. To top it off, my parting gift was parking fees for the two nights for a total of $40. This was after I asked about a second vehicle and they told me street parking was free since it was off season. Unbelievable. This was most definitely in my top 3 worst hotel stays ever."

"The room was very nice unfortunately for me. The bed was way too hard. It’s a mercy bed so hard. I tried to sleep on the couch, but that was uncomfortable as well. If they updated those two things the day would be absolutely perfect other than those two, everything was great."

"Everything was fine but key was not were we where told it would be but unit was unlocked. Found key in the kitchen.Call host three time but near got through and she didn’t return calls. First to find out were key was last two to see what we should do with key because it wouldn’t fit to box. Finally left key in kitchen and door unlocked. Called host, again no answer to tell her unit was unlocked and key was in kitchen were we found it."

"Mr. Cavalier was more than accommodating and extremely helpful with our stay and changes that we needed to make it work for us. He was the best! "

"Clean and comfortable for our stay. The spiral stair was a bit of a concern for an elderly family member initially, but turned out ok. The beach wagon, umbrellas and other beach items in the closet outside were great. Would stay here again."

"The Pilot House was absolutely wonderful for our family. A welcoming home with the bonus of a relaxing pool area where we spent much of our time. Our host Rosemary was super responsive and had great information about the area. Bethany is a fabulous beach with a small town feel and the location of this house was fabulous ... close enough to be convenient, but a little ways away from the noise and bustle of town. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!! "

"It was good! The house itself is gorgeous, and you can’t beat the location. We had a few minor issues upon arrival- when opening a door the entire doorknob fell off in my hand. The cabinet that hid where the trash is in the kitchen was off its hinge and wouldn’t stay closed, so the trash was always exposed to the room. My sister and I each took one shower and then there was no soap left, I asked the host if there was more somewhere and they said only a starter pack is given and any more would need to be purchased (they did say drop off more soap after explaining that we had hardly used it and it was almost empty when we arrived, but it was incredibly watery). The front door was also broken at the bottom.For the cost of the stay, I did not expect the amount of disrepair we noticed, even though each bit was kind of minor. Seeing multiple broken things made it seem like it wasn’t as high end as the price would imply. Otherwise, everything else was great! Loved the proximity to the beach and that the owner had towels and chairs available."

"We enjoyed our stay here, it’s about 2.5 miles from the beach. There is an outdoor shower on the side of the house. House was clean and provided everything we needed (toilet papers, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoos and conditioners, etc). Washer/dryer available for use. We did not try the grill. House also has beach items like umbrellas and beach chairs. Only downside was It was a bit inconvenient to have to bring our own towels, pillow cases, and bed sheets, but for sanitary we were ok with that."
