"Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Several small challenges though. The light switches for the toilet and the tub areas are outside of the rooms. If one needs to go at night it is difficult to light the rooms without disturbing a sleeping partner. In addition it took a day to get our tv to work and we and several others got stuck in the elevator before it was noted as out of service. The staff is very nice and polite, however their call to action left something to be desired. The cars in the area were quite loud although it’s not a busy neighborhood."

"It didn't start well. We weren't given the room we paid for and a complaint to hotels.com yielded nothing. We were put in a tiny room at the front of the hotel which was very noisy all night. (We paid to be in the quieter back of the hotel in a bigger room). The immediate area is a little rough round the edges, but a short walk of 5 minutes brings you into better areas and plenty of eating choices. As I said the room was tiny. The bathroom was reasonably modern but all a bit worn out. The bed was OK. AC worked when it felt like it and it was impossible to properly close and lock the window. The TV only had French channels - none of the listed international channels were available. The staff were all pretty sullen. English was not at all well understood and only grudgingly spoken. The hotel bar had a few bottles of coke and some nameless spirits. Nobody used it! All in all, it's difficult to recommend. The location is OK, once you get away from the immediate dirty, noisy surroundings."

"We did not use the restaurant or have breakfast. Check in and out was easy and quick. Room although small was sufficient for a few nights accommodation. Easy walk to all areas of Nice."

"The room is very spacious and modern, comfortable everything needed. They have an issue with sound proofing the ones overlooking the street. The windows are not sound proof and with the a/c policy if the weather is unseasonably warm, the a/c doesn't work and if you open the windows the street noise won't let you sleep. Not acceptable in a 4 star hotel."

"The room was very clean and spacious. We tried booking the spa the first thing in the morning because you cannot book it from the reception, we had to go downstairs to the spa in the morning just to find out the only spot they had was when we had other plans at 16:30 which ruined the whole day for us because it was my partner’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him. When we got there in the afternoon we were not even told that one sauna wasn’t working, and the other one was booked for a private session for somebody else, we could only use the hammam. The water inside the pool was too cold to swim in so we had to spend an hour just staying in the jacuzzi crowded with other people. I don’t think we got what we paid for."
