"Terrific house stay in Gion. Terrific location walking distance from many sites. House better than pictures. Be prepared for a compact stay (low ceilings and tight spaces) but that is all part of the authentic stay"

"The small house was perfect for us (4 adults and one child) to go around Kyoto. There is a big supermarket and several restaurants in walking distance and a playground 20m away (you don’t hear the playground). Beside the local tax link not working, everything went very smooth!"

"Staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and comfortable. Giving us time and space but also available when needed. We incorporated dinner and breakfast which I highly recommend. Such a unique experience to stay in a matchiya. The place was absolutely stunning. "

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."
