"Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired."

"The great western is updating rooms . We got a family room that was newly renovated and it was beautifully done, we had a sea view and street view. There was a misunderstanding on my booking but staff were very helpful and sorted it all out. The hotel has limited parking but you have the option to prebook a space. "When we arrived at the hotel we were charged an extra £10 to park. No mention of that booking. The Hotel looked like it had been closed down for refurbishment wet paint signs all in reception no furniture. arrived at our rooms had beautiful views but rooms were very tired and dated. carpets are filthy and radiators, filthy bathroom really outdated blocked toilets no loo roll. Shower was awful no power whatsoever very very small cubicle.Just one cup in a room for two people. Kettle has old water...

"Ive stayed here a few times. The rooms are really nice but it's the second time I've stayed out of about 4 times where the linen/towels have not been clean. I came to replace the towels by ultimately had to give up due to needing to leave. The room wasnt ever refreshed for the next night stay. For the price (I paid about £400 for 2 days) it dosent really ever match up with the service, everything is too much trouble. Ive given it a few chances but there always seems to be so many friction...
