Coastal walking, delicious food and a warm welcome

Super, friendly hotel/inn with exceptional food, a warm welcome, reserved parking and spacious rooms. The location is ideal for walking the Pembrokeshire coast path, as the bus stops directly outside and the room was really comfortable after a long day walking. Newport is a lovely spot, and there is an idyllic beach just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay with The Castle Inn! The team were very welcoming to us and our dogs, the rooms were well presented, clean and comfortable. There is a good selection of local drinks available and the food selection and quality was outstanding! The little things really stood out too, such as the “Hungry Dawg” menu for the four-legged ones, a well presented beer garden for the warmer months and a beautiful restaurant. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit west Wales.

Magical traditional inn with very caring family. Modern amenities, great shower, comfy cozy rooms and beds. Pub and restaurant, great food, family went above and beyond to welcome us. A very special experience. Lovely village! Great beer garden. A destination in itself! Many thanks!

Great hotel but shame about the road

This is a nice hotel, the staff treated us really well particularly with catering for our vegan needs for breakfast. The only issue is the loud road it was hard to sleep through with constant road noise from trucks. Would recommend ear plugs or the hotel providing a fan so you can shut the window.

Had a great time at Castle Inn. Glyn was a great host and couldn’t do enough for us. The food and the accommodation was excellent. Will definitely be coming back!

A very welcoming family-run place to stay and eat. We had a spacious and comfortable room, with a lovely shower room en suite. Breakfast was great, with a good choice of options and friendly service. We arrived very late due to a delayed ferry from Ireland, and were extremely grateful that our hosts took the trouble to wait up for us. Highly recommended!

Charming accommodation

Only stayed one night but was made to feel very welcome. A parking space was reserved for us when we arrived which was handy. We checked in a couple of hours early which was unexpected. Room was lovely, it was room 3 in the attic, both of us are tall so the beams were a little challenging but nothing major. We had a good nights sleep and a really lovely breakfast the next morning.

Excellent Experience

Owners were very friendly, accommodating and helpful every step of the way. GREAT food for dinner and excellent breakfast. We were there during the Covid pandemic and the rooms were very clean and the staff were being very safe. Can’t wait to come back and chat with the owners a little more over some delicious drinks.

Great place all round. Excellent food at bar or restaurant, best breakfast ever and good range of beers. Nice modern room, very quiet with tea/coffee. Great location, short walk to beach or coast path, bus stop opposite. Great selection of shops including a post office! Highly recommended.

Loved the castle inn. Glyn and Allison were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. Our room was super comfortable. The food was excellent. It was the best that I have had in the (UK). They shared things about the local area and even had a booklet that they had made about the local area. We hope to be able to come back and visit again soon.
