Sitting just one block from Yaquina Bay, dining, art galleries, and fun museums are within easy walking distance, not to mention a great view of the water!

The cottage itself is bright and elegant. A living area offers a variety of furniture to relax and enjoy the stunning bay view, with a dining table for four in the corner. Books, board games, WiFi, and a flatscreen TV with DVD player provide entertainment, and a gas fireplace keeps the home cozy on stormy nights.

A fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals, plus bonus items like a waffle iron, mixer, blender, coffeemaker, and a dishwasher. Head outside to the patio area to enjoy a view with your morning coffee.

One bedroom and one full bath allows this home to sleep as many as three guests - in the bedroom is one twin bed, and a queen Murphy bed sleeps a couple in the living room, folding into the wall to make more space in the day. A sofabed gives the option for everyone to spread out, and one full bath has a walk-in shower and separate tub.

Perfect Cozy Getaway with an Amazing View

We had an incredible stay at this beach house! The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the cozy cabin vibe made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was ideal—just a short walk to Bayside restaurants and stores. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved the cute and cozy gas stove, which added such charm. The backyard was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. It’s a great spot for a couple, with room for one more if needed. Highly recommend this gem for a relaxing escape!

We absolutely loved Newport. Between walking the sands on the coast and walking along the two main areas, old downtown Newport and Nye Beach, along with visiting some of the historical sites, we couldn’t have asked for a better time. The VRBO was situated perfectly with a great view of the harbor. If we have a chance to visit again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this place

Great stopover spot!

We were traveling home and decided to stay here for 1 night to repack/reset before hitting the road again. It was a great little spot! We loved the views of the boats and the sea lions. It’s studio style with a twin bedroom. The studio bed isn’t the most comfortable since it’s a Murphy bed style, but it was still great. Bathtub and bathroom were fantastic!

Always nice here!

We have stayed here many times and always love the area and location of this cottage. Since there is pay to park below it’s very convenient to be so close, and good to walk off all the treats!! We had very nice weather and the day it rained we did shopping and enjoyed the stove. It makes it so cozy. We will be back many more times for sure. We call it home away from home.

A gem of a place overlooking the bay

This is an amazing cottage with an incredible view of the Yaquina Bay. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and even a huge pot for boiling our fresh caught crabs. Plenty of space for our needs with a huge bathroom. The area was really quiet and yet close to everything. We definitely plan on returning in the near future.

Wine and Seafood Festival

My wife and I spent 4 nights here in the Arden cottage. It was as advertised. Very nice views, close to everything. We liked the stove in the living room, cheerful as well as warming. The heated bathroom floor was also very nice. We had a great experience!

Bay Overlook

Great, small space overlooking the bay. Watch the boats and sea lions going on and out. Lit up at night is really beautiful. Close to bay front, restaurants and beach access. Home is older and in great shape but probably not a place for young children?

Our party of three “older” ladies loved the location and watching all the bay/river traffic!! Chamber of Commerce weather was a bonus!! Kitchen was well stocked!! The cottage was lovely and the view was amazing, but we had issues heating the place.

It was a chilly weekend and only one of the two wall heaters was working for the whole unit. There’s a nice gas fireplace but we couldn’t get it to stay on longer than 5 minutes no matter what mode we had it on. And the small bedroom has no heat source so we had to leave our 3 year old sons door open so he didn’t freeze during the night. Other than that the place is great! But with winter coming those things need to be fixed!

Perfect for our anniversary

What we loved about Arden Cottage: The views! It was so interesting to watch all the comings and goings on the waterfront from the cozy cottage windows. A whole wall and a half of windows made for peaceful views morning, noon, and night. The location is also super convenient as we were able to walk down to the pier many times. Plenty of places to eat and shop on the bay front. The Clearwater Restaurant was our favorite. Many places in Newport deliver as well. We recommend Tenggu Sushi. It is QUIET. We loved how quiet the cottage was inside and if you need some rest, this is the place. We also loved the bathroom. It is huge and has everything we needed, even a hair dryer. The heated floor was wonderful and the old fashioned tub was a real treat. The shower stall is large and comfortable. In the living room the two rocker-swivel chairs are great for looking out the window or watching tv. The upholstery seemed fairly dingy to us and needed a good clean, but there are plenty of blankets to throw over the chairs. The gas fireplace was divine, as the nights and mornings were still cold during our stay (May15-20). Murphy bed was very comfortable and the spare room was perfect for naps (quiet, cool, and dark). What could be better: The living room did feel overstuffed with too much furniture for the space. The kitchen has a new oven/range/microwave and newer toaster/coffee maker/ electric kettle; however, the dishes and bowls/bakeware are all pretty old. We didn’t find the blender until the morning of checkout, so if you need it (and it is tiny) you can find it up on the top shelf of the highest cupboard. Overall some deep cleaning/updates to the furnishings, decor, and bedding would make this a five star cottage. We will stay here again for sure!
