"This lake house is exactly what we hoped it would be. It has a warm rustic feel that you can't help but relax in. The house is well equipped. Now let's get to the BEST part, The Lake. We spent 3/4 of each day sitting on the dock facing an absolutely wonderful lake rimmed by nature's gift, MOUNTAINS. The lake is big; however, very few boats were seen. Daily we watched Osprey fishing, Merganzers with 11 kiddos, Kingfishers, the list goes on. Be kind to yourself...experience this lake house; your mind will thank you!"

"This is a magical place to stay in a beautiful country setting in Vermont. My room was charming, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The food at the Blackbird Bistro is delicious, and the coffee and smoothies at the Whetstone Cafe are delightful. I would absolutely stay here again. "

"Although the weather did not really cooperate (rained for the first 2 days), we still found the home cozy, peaceful and and the area serene. A beautiful location right on the lake. We go once a year with our four wheelers to northern Vermont and this was a great riding area. Lots of trails with stops along the way (Parker Pies, Bakersfield, Morgan Store). Jim and his wife were there when we arrived. Very nice people. Would recommend to hikers, ATV'ers, and just folks who want to get away. PS. The lake was extremely cold to swim in. Tried fishing, no catching."

"Stayed for 4 days of fishing. We loved the location, the appearance of the house and there was plenty of parking space for 2 trucks and 2 boats. All instructions were clearly communicated. House was clean and well stocked. All the necessary kitchen items are there. The lake is beautiful and if you are a fisher-person there are plenty of fish waiting to be caught. The ‘Queen and twin’ in the upstairs bedroom are bunk beds which was a bit of a surprise but we made due. Would definitely stay again."
