"We travel to Illinois to visit family at least once a year and we are thrilled to be the first guests at The Knight Inn, a very charming country house in Metcalf. The house is wonderful with a combination of modern updates and original decorations and stories from the family going back to 1949. What started as a means to an end to visit family turned into one of our favorite stays. House has been redone with a lot of care to be ready for guests. It is in the middle of farm country and the hosts provided some basic food and snacks. We were visiting family but would also come back here to enjoy peace and quiet to get away. Front row seat to country sunrises and sunsets. Highly recommend, read the history and then relax and take a load off."

"Checking went without any issues, Staff was nice. The room was satisfactory, clean and ready. nice to have a mini fridge for leftovers from dinner, but unfortunately the microwave did not work. Thankfully the AC worked. We checked in late and only stayed for one night, so it was fine. We didn't even turn on the TV to see if it worked LOL, (too tired). I was looking forward to the swimming pool, but it was closed. By the looks of it it has seen better days. Breakfast was good, but ran out of Orange Juice and no Apple Juice and I could not locate staff. I think the hotel was short staffed due to the State T&F Championship at Eastern Univ. which we came from. overall our stay was good."

"This stay was abnormal location for me, but by surprise it was very suitable for an Inn. The staff was nice. The room was large with a refrigerator, it had comfortable beds, and was very clean. The bathroom was small and could use some cosmetic updates- but it did the job. It has a large field area for dogs to play &/or potty. There aren't any decent hotels in Chrisman and this was the closest most decent, and cleanest location to lodge at. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. "

"The home was about 20 minutes from the UIUC campus and easy to get to. The host was great about communicating and following up on our stay. The house was very big with lots and lots of room to unwind. Both the front and back porch were awesome for unwinding and just hanging out. "
