"This Hotel is located on a street that follows one of the main canals in Amsterdam and we could view the activities on the canal from our room. It is walkable to the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum as well as to interesting restaurants , public transportation, and a major public garden. You can arrange canal tours nearby. The staff was very helpful, answering all our questions about the area and making sure that my husband, who has some walking restraints, was comfortable. There is an excellent buffet breakfast with fresh fruits, cheeses, crafted pastries, and many choices of eggs, cereal, meats in a cosy cafe atmosphere. The cafe and the garden are also great to enjoy for wine or coffee in the evenings. Our room was a bit small compared to American facilities, but was well-decorated and had all amenities. "

"Great location. Walking distance to all attractions and public transportation to airport. Located on the quiet street, didn‘t have any trouble sleeping. Decent breakfast also great bakery near by in case don‘t like to do big breakfast. Room was clean but small. Staff was very nice on front desk, got great dinner recommendations"

"We stayed at the Victoria hotel in Amsterdam for three nights, 3 people in 1 room with a sofa bed. The hotel is very well situated for the Amsterdam Central railway station and is therefore ideal as a base to get to and from the airport by train. The station is also a central hub for Metro and trams to get round Amsterdam and to other parts of the Netherlands. It is also a great location for accessing the centre of Amsterdam with its night life and shopping. We had a first-floor room “overlooking the canal” - it was a little noisy at night as people were walking past but also especially considering this was Kings Day in Amsterdam - and be windows of the room had a net on the outside presumably to stop pigeons but this obscured the view. We had breakfast every day and the hotel had a good selection of continental and hot food. There were busy times at Breakfast, one morning we left the restaurant at about 0730 and there must have been a queue of 20 people waiting for a table. However, this is probably due to tour groups in the hotel and half an hour later or earlier there was no queue. The staff on the front desk were very welcoming and gave us lots of great information when we arrived - very helpful and considering we arrived late at night and the sofa bed had not been made up due to a late upgrade, they were very quick and helpful to come and make the bed. The room itself was clean. The bed was comfortable, bathrooms nice and large, small table and chairs in the room."

"We arrived on King’s Day. Do not ever go to Amsterdam on King’s Day. It is worse than Mardi Gras in US. Filth all over the city. The filth was still there on day 3. "

"Convenient location. Main issue is a neighbor in apartment next door playing blaring music 2 floors down in their yard until 9:00. Staff very helpful with checking bags in early before room was ready and after early checkout so we could go to Rijksmuseum. "

"Some of the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered, generous welcome drinks and fun theming in the room. I chose this hotel because it was a close walk to the art museums and had 3 single beds + private bathroom. Met all my expectations! Just be careful because they have really steep stairs!!"
