Charming hotel but could use a refresh. The bathroom sink was clogged for a day, and one day there was no hot water. We were thankful that the room was air conditioned but the AC was a noisy contraption with a big white hose sticking out the window. The staff were kind, friendly and professional.
Great coffee in the lobby. Loved the outdoor space in front to have coffee or drinks. We used the free bikes to ride on nearby Hudson River park bike path which was fun! Lots of character in design in lobby and rooms
Very cute, comfortable and conveniently located. Staff was friendly. The rooms have early 20th century decor, and old books! Patio is a very nice place to sit, have a drink. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Very dog friendly too.

The air conditioning was weak and very loud.
The fire alarm device, positioned directly over the bed, flashed repeatedly and reflected on the television at the foot of the bed.
The furniture was considerably worn since our last visit two years ago.
The first room we had was so tiny that I bumped my head on protruding walls- rooms in that configuration should not be rented for overnight guests. We were moved at our request. The second room (with adequate head space for a 5'4" woman) did not have a closet. To open a suitcase meant blocking one side of the bed.
On a positive note, the staff was excellent.
People, except those at the coffee bar who could not be bothered to be friendly, were great. The High Line is a unique hotel with a historic charm. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
I stayed for a night for my wife’s birthday, and it was a fantastic choice! It felt like stepping back in time. The rich history really made it special. They had plenty of amenities, but since it was just a day, we didn’t get to use them all. I was really hoping to try out the pier gym, but I didn’t have enough time. I’ll definitely come back next time!
The strength of the hotel is it's New York "neighborhood" vibe. Great Chelsea location. It's an old hotel so amenities are few. We stayed in a Deluxe King and room was very large by NY standards. Great bed. Everyone was very friendly. We would like to return sometime soon.
The property and rooms were gorgeous! Rooms were so cozy. Couldn’t say enough about how incredible the staff was. They would run over to help you carry things. The courtyard in the back was such a nice plus! Only bummer was they had a large patch of grass but you weren’t allowed to go into it. Disappointing when you have a dog, but overall didn’t take away from our experience!
This is a unique and historic property. So everything is old and that should be expected. It is in wonderful condition and wonderfully done. You cannot beat this location! It is like a mini park like oasis in the center of Chelsea. The windows ooen! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I travel to New York frequently and I booked this hotel whenever it’s available.
We had a wonderful stay at the charming High Line Hotel in Chelsea. The whole vibe is a cozy boutique style experience. Our room was uniquely decorated, full of character, and utterly charming. The room was quiet even though we were just across from the elevator. We also loved the coffee bar. While there was no complimentary coffee, we were happy to trade for a delicious custom cup. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We loved everything about our time there and would happily stay again on our next trip.
Built in 1895, the exterior architecture is stunning. Beautiful outdoor space and sitting area. A coffee bar that converts to a liquor bar at 6. Spacious historic guest rooms with fireplaces and unique decor. And the staff is amazing! I felt like a guest in their home.

Spotless room, courteous staff. We also appreciated the responsive thermostat and delicious coffee/croissants available in the lobby (at extra cost, but hey, quality).
