Festival of Lights was superb as was Hi Fri fish restaurant and Bach for breakfast in port area! (Long) Walk to Te Rewa Rewa bridge rewarded with superb view of Mt Taranaki :-)

Coastal walkway is lovely. The museum in town was also interesting. Plenty of options to eat out. One way system on some roads in NP. Festival of lights was fabulous.

Very busy in town due to Womad, but lots of things closed on the Sunday. A nice town to spend a night or two and good eating and Juno (Gin distillery) was an enjoyable afternoon.

Mount Taranaki is legally a person now and like any person it refused to cooperate with the expectations of tourists. They need to get it to sign a contract guaranteeing that it will expose itself to the wanting cameras.

"We arrived at midnight with easy self check in , ring the reception easy instruction. We have a present stay. Bonus for the self check in.
