This is a lovely two story duplex is comfortable and easy. Three spacious bedrooms upstairs. One with two large beds! There's a grand piano in the living room and the kitchen/den in the back is great for family time. Highly recommended!

Great location uptown. I happened to have a bike and it was a great experience riding everywhere from Audubon Park to the French Quarter. The amenities are great and the older New Orleans home "feel" is an added nicety. Enjoy.

This place was perfect for our first time to New Orleans for a family get-away. We met family from Texas here. The place is beautifully furnished, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen served us well for breakfasts & a dinner together. The location was perfect for getting on the St. Charles street car for sightseeing and for daily runs/biking to Audubon Park. Susan has such a warm and welcoming personality, it was always a pleasure to speak with her on the phone. Her price is fair and straightforward. I liked that there were no added expenses to her quote. All-around it's just a wonderful place to stay!

I stayed there with two friends when we attended a conference. The home itself is amazing, with a ton of space, a great back terrace. Its close to St Charles for the trolley service and walking distance to some decent restaurants on Prytania, and even walkable to Market street. The place was very clean, and the facilities well-stocked so that all we really needed to buy was food to cook.

I hate to tell you how fantastic this house is because we want to rent it again, again, and again. We are a family of 6 adults and this house is spacious and comfortable. The location is fantastic - two houses from the St. Charles street car (easy and fun ride to the Quarter and the colleges). We walked to Magazine and Freret Streets. Susan was helpful and delightful. Enjoy your visit when you go to NO. This is the best!

We rented this home along with two other couples for a week stay in April. None of us could think of anything that could have been better. If you are looking to put a little luxury in your life this is the perfect choice. The location is also a great plus to this property. It is seconds away from the streetcar, with access to the French Quarter and further uptown to Audubon Park, and Tulane and Loyala Universities. Grocery stores and fine restaurants are all in walking distance. The owner is easy to work with, and goes out of her way to help you feel at home. I would stay here again and again.

Completely exceeded expectations! I stayed on the "other side" of the Duplex in early December while in town for a fundraiser and I have been dreaming about my return ever since! Just lovely! Beautifully furnished and much more spacious than appears online. It has an old Hollywood feel in it's luxury but the charm and warth of New Orleans. Kitchen is chef's dream and beds are comfortable. Susan was so wonderful she even had a Christmas tree up in time for our arrival which added a bit of cozy warmth. I just can't say enough - it is the pefect spot and I truly hope I will have the chance to return time and time again.

It was a great place to stay.. We will be back for sure. We have been coming to New Orleans for 25 years, and this visit was the very best. The house is roomy, very comfy, and extremly nicely decorated!!! The house was in perfect condition when we arrived.. The cleaning crew were amazing.. I have already recommended the property to several friends.

We are a production company that has had 2 shoots in New Orleans this past year, and both times we rented both sides of this amazing duplex for our traveling crew. The first time we sort of felt like it was too good to be true, but it's everything that it says, and we came back again on our 2nd trip. It's a duplex w/ 3 rooms on each side, but there is a doorway that connects the two, so it can easily be One 6 bedroom home, or Two 3 bedroom homes. Normally with traveling adults on a business trip, a house just doesn't work. But this home is so big and spacious that it was perfect. Most rooms have their own bathroom, and privacy is never an issue. There's a driveway for 1 car and plenty of street parking. It's 2 houses from the St. Charles streetcar line, and considering that it's in the heart of the Garden District there are several restaurants and cafe's in walking distance. It's about a 10 minute drive down to the French Quarter, and the streetcar takes approx. 15-20 mins. I HIGHLY suggest this home for anybody traveling to New Orleans for work, or vacation. Treat yourself to an authentic experience in NOLA!

This house is even better in person! What you see on this site are beautifully appointed rooms, great location, spacious living spaces. But then there are all the details that you rarely get in a rented house- etched glassware with fleur-de lys, deluxe mattresses and towels, fabulous seating areas. The only drawback is that we were so busy in New Orleans that we didn't have time to just hang "at home." We did manage to all get together to watch the Super Bowl and all of us had a great view of the screen... plus great warmed appetizers from the Wolf Oven, served on beautiful plates, etc. There were eight of us in the house (including a baby) and we couldn't stop raving about the location, the size, and mostly the feng-shui. The vibe is just wonderful!! We will be back!

This is an elegant property that provided six of us (three couples) with more than enough room to feel very comfortable and relaxed while we visited New Orleans. From this convenient location, we were able to jog on the grassy strip between the St. Charles Trolley cars in the early morning, walk to some of the wonderful restaurants in the area, stroll throughout the Garden District to ogle the amazing architecture and go window shopping along Magazine street. It was the perfect location for us. Susan, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. She was the quintessential ally. I'm hopeful that we will be able to New Orleans soon and stay here.

This house was perfect for our trip - spacious, elegant, quiet, perfect location and very well-decorated. Just fabulous. Susan could not have been more gracious, and made everything so easy for us. We were traveling with two young (ages 4 and 6) children, and the house was extremely kid-friendly, without us feeling like we were staying in a romper room. We have rented several properties in New Orleans over the last few years, and this one is by far our top experience. We stayed on the left side of the house, which I think may be configured slightly differently than the photos on the site, so be sure to ask Susan which side you are renting if the specific furnishings or configurations are important to you.

So I had the pleasure of staying in the "other side" condo. One word-Awesome! I felt a special honor that I was able to stay in both sides. Each side has it's uniqueness. I guess I would classify this condo as more contemporary but still has the same warmth and personal touches. My brother and I got the opportunity to meet Susan who is such a delight and she came bearing the most decadent croissants and coffee for us. We made a special trip to the bakery to get more. Love, love, love the kitchen. I had a dinner party for some of my daughter's track team and their parents and everyone was just thrilled with how spacious and comfortable the condo was for all of us (we had about 12 guests). The bedrooms are so large and the beds are heavenly (I had to get the brand of sheets to buy some for my home). Again, more space than we needed but I like room to move around. We had the opportunity to sit out on the back and front porches this time because the weather was beyond perfect. I simply cannot stay elsewhere. Susan, I secretly consider this my New Orleans home now!

This home exudes warmth, character and style. I felt like I was at home but without my teenagers messy rooms! Place was immaculate. It is the perfect location to walk to so many great restaurants and shops uptown and if you are not a walker the street car is right outside. We wished we could have sat on the front or back porch more but we were there in the dead of summer. Even though I am from Florida it was still hot! The best part was not having to worry about bringing shampoo, soaps, etc. everything was there for us. The kitchen is great for someone who loves to cook like me and the beds in each room were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed listening to some blues in the family room that had great surround sound. Perfect for our wine and cheese happy hour! I, like other previous guests did not have the pleasure of meeting Susan (she was out of town and contacted me often to make sure we were settled in) but her dad is a sweetheart and made sure to check in on us. This is a great location if you have kids at Tulane or Loyola. The condo is huge and more space than we need but I am spoiled by it now and can't see staying elsewhere.

The property we rented in New Orleans is spectacular, as well as the owner of the property. Wonderful accommodations, well equipped kitchen, sound stereo system/music, tv, wifi, etc. The home is warm in feel and welcoming. In truth, the photos do not do the home justice. The property owner was more than accommodating, and even organized a welcoming party for our family reunion. This included menu suggestions, all shopping, preparation, value wine selections, and set up. It made everything so much easier for us, and all was handled with aplomb. The front porch is fashioned with comfortable chairs and cushions for sitting outside, having a drink and watching the world go by. All rooms, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, are generous in size. The house is about a block and a half from the trolly and bus line, and we used both quite a bit. There is easy access to the French Quarter, walk to restaurants and shopping. Audubon Park is near and there are interesting walks right outside your door. We definitely will rent this home again.

First off, the pictures of the property provided didn't do it justice...it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the shaded front porch to the immaculate wood floors, beautiful kitchen, and luxurious bedrooms and bath were beyond our expectations. We arrived In New Orleans late on a Wednesday night and were greeted by a message from our gracious host asking if we had eaten yet. Upon arriving to the house (and getting over the splendor of the surroundings) we found wine, cheese tray, and supper waiting for us in the fridge. It was completely unexpected, but such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our five day stay. We had the opportunity to chat with Susan (our host) a few times during our trip (including when she left a box of fresh breakfast pastries at our door), and she is truly a warm person that you feel like you’ve known for many years. The house itself is a great combination of old architecture, beautifully refurbished interiors, and modern amenities. The kitchen was fantastically equipped with high end appliances and beautiful cabinet and counter tops that looked into the family den where a large flat screen tv was available for use. Each bedroom had fine linens fitted onto the very comfortable beds, and the baths were all nicely appointed with fantastic towels, soaps, and shampoos. The locations couldn’t be better, with the street car just a stones throw away. One of the most enjoyable times I had during my stay was waking early and walking to get coffee and breakfast for my family…the neighborhood and surrounding houses are very impressive and seemingly trapped in time, as you can tell the residents of the area take great pride in keeping their neighborhood the way it was originally intended to be. I have had the pleasure of visiting the city of New Orleans four or five times in the last six years, and I have to say that there is something about the people of the city that truly is special…they have a soulfulness, combined with a great sense of community, resilience, and hospitality that elevates New Orleans into a rare realm of American cities. I can’t wait to come back and stay at the house next year and experience even more of what this great city has to offer.

My daughter got married in New Orleans over the Memorial Day weekend and this house was perfect for our family and close friends. There was more than enough room for everyone, it was clean, comfortable and everything we could wish for. Susan, the owner, was very accommodating, leaving us refreshments and breakfast items since we had a late arrival coming in from the West Coast. She checked in on us to make sure there was everything we needed and even brought extra pans for us when she heard we were hosting a brunch the morning after the wedding for the bride, groom and their family. My elderly mother loved the baby grand piano! The location was perfect, only a block away from St. Charles Avenue and the trolley car. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the back patio, which was secluded and perfect for breakfast. I would highly recommend this property. It is a very special and beautiful home. We had a fantastic time, have great memories and hope to return again.

My sister and I coordinated everything prior to our arrival with Susan. She was incredibly helpful and such a pleasure to work with. When we arrived we were thrilled- the pictures are lovely, but the home is even better in person! It is charming, spacious, and has a very authentic southern feeling. The home was very clean and there were so many amenities that we hadn't anticipated including top of the line kitchen appliances, a lovely outdoor terrace, and luxurious linens and towels. It is so convenient to everything uptown and only a few steps away from the streetcar on St. Charles. I had attended college in NO and was very familiar with the area- you cannot beat this location! My whole family hopes that we will be back again soon!

Color me cynical, but I didn't expect more than a nice home. But what we got was a stunning, huge, beautiful home in a gorgeous part of town a block from the trolley and very close to great shopping, bars, music, etc. The owner was very gracious and responsive, and provided all kinds of thoughtful additional amenities (soaps in the bathrooms!) I wish we could have stayed for two weeks.

My husband, parents and two young sons just spent the week in this home and had a fabulous stay. It is roomy, well-appointed, very comfortable and in a perfect location. The beds are quite comfortable -my husband loved the sheets!-, the bathrooms are light and modern, and you really feel like you can spread out throughout the house- not once did the six of us feel cramped or on top of each other. There are three terrific porches which adds to the wonderful feeling of spaciousness. Susan is a wonderful host and obviously takes good care of her property and to make sure that guests have a great stay. She brought out Legos and other building toys for my boys, had Disney movies and put waterproof mattress pads and bed rails out should we need!!! The kids adored the toys and slept very comfortably! The description and pictures provided are accurate, Susan is always available should you have questions or needs, and we very much hope to make this an annual trip, complete with a stay here. We'd also definitely recommend this property to friends; in fact we already have. The house is a half-block from the trolley stop and in walking distance of cute coffee shops/cafes as well as easy drives to Tulane, Audubon Park, the Zoo, Children's Museum and Magazine Street shopping, if you'd rather drive than trolley/walk. Great!

We rented this home while in town for my brother's wedding and couldn't have been happier. This is one half of a very nice duplex, the third house from St. Charles Ave. Streetcar stop is one block down in either direction, very convenient, but not so close that it's loud. Deneel park is maybe 8 blocks away, great for all age kids. The house is large, clean and beautifully decorated. There are also nice lived in touches throughout the house that made it feel like a home instead of a rental. The master is huge with a comfy king bed, sitting area, 3 closets and modern tv. The downstairs floor has a small porch in the front, a small porch with breakfast table in the back out the kitchen/living and the upstairs has a small balcony off the master bedroom, great for reading with a glass of wine. The owner was very accommodating. We were coming in very late and she wanted to make sure there was food for us in the morning. We arrived to lots of goodies to hold us over. She was kind, available and always concerned that we had what we needed. We plan on renting this place again the next time we are in New Orleans. Only con to mention is that there are lots of stairs and if you have issues climbing stairs you may want to consider something else. Otherwise this place is fantastic!

We enjoyed our family reunion here for the first time. Street cars bring us to French quarter and other places. The house was thoughtfully prepared by the owner for our needs. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful in answering our questions and concerns. I recommend it highly to my friends and relatives.

We had two families that needed to be uptown for Mardi Gras and found this house! It is in a great location to walk to the parades and dinner. If you want to go farther uptown the trolley runs from this street corner up. Since our friends live near by it was great for us! We had a ball. The house has such flare and we will definitely be back! Karen

My husband and I have visited New Orleans many times over the years, and always stayed near the Quarter. We decided we wanted something nicer, and chose this home. We couldn't have made a better choice. The home is beautiful, but more than that, it's extremely comfortable! We felt like we lived there! With the black out drapes and the wonderful bed, we didn't want to get up! The kitchen/living area is really nice. We liked it so much we didn't want to go out at night! The location is great! We went to a neighborhood fair/market a few blocks away. Sampled lots of good food, shopped, and listened to bands there. We took bikes and rode to Audubon Park around the lake. Just a few minute walk to the trolley, which we took to the quarter. We stayed there all of two hours, then were so happy to come back to our "neighborhood". Lots of great restaurants, shopping on Magazine Street, grocery stores, etc. right there. We are ready to go back, and will always stay at this amazing home! And Susan will walk you through everything to insure that all goes well. She's delightful!
