The property had excellent parking right next to the property and that can be very difficult to have at times. Full kitchen and washer and dryer. Air conditioning that kept the house very comfortable. Lots of space and comfortable beds. This property was a joy to stay at while we where in town for a few days.

Great host and a convenient location

Tenisha is a great host and was super helpful with ideas what to do! The house is in a safe neighborhood and just two blocks from magazine street. The house accommodated four of us well. The shower is a little tight, but got the job done. It was not super clean, but suited our needs.

Pictures are NOT up to date

The pictures do not represent what the house actually looks like in real life. It did the job and it was close to everything but cleanliness was the biggest down fall. Over crowded with unnecessary furniture. Bathroom is not clean, the back door is rigged shut. The porch was un useable because furniture was scattered and flipped upside down and covered up. Host was friendly enough. I appreciate the stay but I would of preferred accurate reviews prior to booking.

Could use some deep cleaning by thick dust off the fans and such since it does cause asthma to flare

Was able to relax and enjoy a long weekend. Some lights outback that work would really set the ambiance

Cute and Convenient

Great location just a couple blocks off Magazine with plenty of convenient parking and easy access to the St. Charles streetcar. The unit itself is well appointed and flush with amenities, except for a dishwasher. We really enjoyed our four night stay.

Peaceful place for couples - and close to sight seeing

This house is super cute with its yellow color. I stayed here with my husband for 5 nights. The house is well equipped with plenty of sleeping spaces, kitchenwares, AC/fans, and toiletries. The keyless entry made check in and check out simple. The neighborhood is calm but still pleasantly lively with everyone walking to local hangouts, getting groceries, working and biking. This is an ideal place if you'd like to be out of the chaos of the French quarter partying but would like a short (~10 minute) drive to enjoy the typical sights and experiences of downtown New Orleans. Lots of very nice restaurants, bars and shops are in this area too. There are a lot more unique options than you might find downtown - all with a great ambiance (I personally recommend delachaise wine bar). Walking through the neighborhood while enjoying the colorful houses is a nice way to end the night. Couldn't be more pleased with my week here!

Surprise birthday celebration

I rented this house to surprise my daughter for her 21st birthday. We loved the character of the house and the location. We walked to magazine street for breakfast lunch and all kinds of shopping. We also hopped on to the historic St Charles Street car and rode it to Canal street. The location was great. We were able to walk to a bus stop then ride to City Park and enjoy the day there. Anything we couldn't walk to or find a bus for, we got an Uber that quickly took us to where we wanted to go. The house is great, peculiar but great. Take care in the shower as it is a claw foot tub shower combo and with curtains hard to move around. No central ac or heat but units in each bedroom did the trick. Beds were comfortable. Decor was great. The last night of our trip my daughter was sick and we ordered in from a brochure placed in the house by the owner. Very helpful to have that option of a local place, not just relying on google. Would be hard to recommend to families because you have to walk through the bedrooms to get to the kitchen and bathroom unless they would be okay with that. We were and it worked out fine. Great location, great house!!

It was a perfect location, but not the place to stay if you have allergies.

The unit was very functional, no frills and not the cleanest. The location was perfect for LGD exploring and food. The check in was very easy as well. The ceiling fans and AC units need really good cleaning. The dust / mold got my allergies worked up. Also, be aware that the streets near the unit are very rough and kind of under construction.

It was perfect!

Ms. Tanesha was very accommodating, she let us check in early for a small fee. The property had every thing we needed. It was in a perfect location. It was a great little getaway for my husband and I. I loved the decor of the house, you can tell Ms. Tanesha put love into it. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Homey stay in great locale

Property was perfect size for the two of us to launch our NOLA adventure and come back to a comfortable, warm and inviting home. Centrally located between Uptown, the Garden District and the French Quarter, we were able to walk to lots of fun restaurants, bars and shops on Magazine St and Uber / walk to the St Charles car line for a short trip to other destinations. Only feedback I would leave for host is property was not that clean and is fairly cluttered. Like staying over at a friends house and not an AirBnb. We could not find any new bar soap, only used. There is a huge washer and dryer that takes up half the kitchen that was very dusty on top but there was no detergent in case we wanted to use. Cabinets are very cluttered with old (shelf stable) food. Advertised back patio was basically un-usable as it was dirty and full of leaves. Also, cushions and wind chime blocked the way anyway. Having said all this I would recommend a stay here and we would come back if the price was in the $90-120 a night range.

Nice stay in NOLA

Overall it was good! Beds were very comfortable and it was pretty close to everything. The shower was a little problematic. It was very small and difficult for my husband and son to shower in. Otherwise everything was good.

The location was ideal, and our accomodation comfortable

Yes, our stay was enjoyable being very near Magazine eateries, so we had a good variety of choice for night meals, and being close to the Number 11 bus. Also used bus for the laundry, which was useful. Tanesha was very personable and made contact to see how we were going. It was a nice quiet suburb in Laurel Street.

Amazing location and great owner!

This house is in a GREAT location in New Orleans!! It is just 2 blocks off Magazine Street -- loaded with great restaurants and shopping! Plus the neighborhood is quiet. And we were even able to bike to the French Quarter since it was so close. The house served our needs. Tanesha was super quick with providing a few extra things we requested the first day. We'd rent again and hope to come back soon!!

Charming Neighborhood, Perfect Host & House

We had an Airbnb for the Garden District that canceled on us a week before our trip. That was extremely fortuitous for us, because it led us to stay at this property. We loved this place so much. The location was extremely great - close to Magazine Street, the Louisiana bus, and not far from the streetcar. Staying here without renting a car was extremely doable. The neighborhood absolutely drips with charm. If you like architecture, this is a great location for you. So many beautiful porches, metalwork, and detailing. I loved every walk that we took because it was so wonderful just to look at the houses. Tanesha was also an extremely friendly and gracious host. We had a brunch reservation just down the street after check-out, and she let us keep our bags just inside the door to pick up after we ate rather than lug them with us. The wi-fi worked great, the beds were super comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed, the living room was cozy, and we were plenty cool while in the home despite our visit coming at the end of a sweltering August. My one note is that the shower needs a larger curtain.

For the active traveler

The house is ideal for those that are looking for something affordable and just somewhere to sleep while visiting an exciting city! Great location and Tanesha was super flexible and friendly (came out to meet us when she heard us leaving one night). It was quite hot in the house at times since there isn't central air, but the window air conditioners were great for sleeping, just be prepared for the front room, kitchen and bathroom to be fairly warm.
