"This is a lovely spot in the woods. Beautiful views from the house and deck. It has a nice little lake for the kids to kayak on, kayaks provided. It also has a place for a small bonfire to enjoy and make s'mores. Our family had a wonderful weekend here."

"My husband and I are locals to the area. We needed more space for us and some out of town close friends. It happened to snow while we were at the VRBO. It was beautiful. I will say that you will need to plan accordingly vehicle wise if you stay during the winter. Luckily we have 4 wheel drive SUVs. "We enjoyed our time here! A few little issues with the property were present but they were either resolved or I'm sure will be soon. If you go down to the lake, watch your step carefully - the wood frame that holds the gravel together is rotting and I took a tumble. But the home is a treat and the arrangement of everything is lovely. "

"Stayed for a long weekend to recover from a traumatic family loss. Severe cold caused the drains to freeze in the home and water backed up into the kitchen floor while we were cooking dinner. After about 2 hours of frantic calls back and forth with the on call property manager and the maintenance man, we determined the property was not functional, as we could not use the bathrooms or kitchen sink. "We are on a 3+ week road trip, we have stayed in A LOT of hotels...this one was quiet, in a quiet/safe neighborhood, comfortable, andthe staff was extremely kind & helpful. Breakfast is basic, but that's what they advertise, so no complaints there. We stayed on the 1st floor, I'd recommend a top floor as the only sounds were walking/moving on the floor above. Glad we drove out of tbe way to stay here to sightsee St. Louis. "
