"The good:Location is amazing. The town of New Buffalo and Michigan city are both really fun with lots of great options for anything you could possibly want to do. This place is walking distance to a more private beach that has great views and sunsets. It is a lightly extensive 20 minute walk. The backyard is absolutely amazing. The pool is not overly heated (as preferred) and it was very clean and perfect for our stay - we stayed in the pool for hours a day. This is by far the highlight of the property. The backyard is well manicured and humongous. I could go on and on about the outdoors of this property. Inside, the kitchen was well stocked, it has a nice stove and microwave, and the addition room stayed cool and was a really great space. Additionally, the decor in the majority of the house is tasteful and nice.The constructive:The age of this place is showing and regarding smells, temperatures, and surfaces, there could be more care given to make even the current setup cleaner. There are broken things in most rooms, lots of random items (toys books, baskets, decorations etc,The place is falling apart slightly and in many places, unfinished and dirty. These could be “finished” or fixed without replacement and could add to the comfort level.There are ant traps and dirt in every corner. There were toys and popcorn under most pieces of furniture.Don’t rent this if you expect a “new construction” vibe or have a problem with dust or light mildew smells."
