Circa 1810 Home - Downtown New Bern Historic District - 2 BRs with King Beds

This unique historic home was originally a dependency to the grand Coor-Bishop House located a half block away, where President James Monroe stayed in 1819 while touring the South.

The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house
is newly updated with fresh paint, new furniture, luxury linens and amenities and a new gas range in the well-appointed kitchen.

Walk to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and historic downtown and its many restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Relax on the screen porch. Cruise or kayak the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Take a short 45-minute drive to Beaufort, Oriental, and the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches.

Sorry, but no children under 8 years of age. Infants are welcome but we do not provide cribs or playards.

PLEASE NOTE: The home is situated on a raised basement with 12 steps from the street level to the front door. All bedrooms are on the second floor.

Pristine historic cottage
Stayed with co-workers in this house for a conference. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The owner was awesome at communicating and would definitely stay here again! The neighborhood was precious and quiet. This house is well-maintained and a great place to enjoy New Bern.

First time in New Bern but hopefully not the last !
We were delighted with the town, which was charming, quaint and just the right size for a truly enjoyable experience. It reminded me of my years in Boston and New England. The house was perfectly located in the historic center, very close to the waterfront. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shops and everything the town of New Bern has to offer. Our host was very gracious and helpful and recommended the best restaurants (we enjoyed the two he recommended very much). ! I have family in the area and would definitely stay in the lovely and adorable little cottage again. It was comfortable and provided everything we needed and more. Our stay was June 28 to 30, 2024

Wonderful rental with beautiful gardens surrounding!
The house is the perfect walkable distance to the downtown New Bern area. The beds are very comfortable - firm but not too stiff (mattress comments are always what I check for in reviews). I had the BEST mornings on the screened in porch, drinking coffee and watching the beautiful bird and butterfly gardens. So peaceful! You won’t regret booking this for your next trip to New Bern! But bring an eye mask if you like to sleep late. Beautiful high windows in this historic house let in all the morning light 😊

Hosts were very attentive and communicative, and the property was certainly as advertised. We were looking for a great “home base” to explore New Bern that also wasn’t right in the middle of downtown, and this property was great. A Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful experience. The house is in a quiet, historical neighborhood within walking distance to downtown New Bern and the waterfront. House was immaculate with all the amenities. 5 minute walk to downtown. 1 minute walk to the Riverwalk. The house is situated in a charming neighborhood that is super quite. Stayed for three days and never used the car. Can't say enough, except when return we know where we will be staying.

We absolutely loved this home. Extremely clean, well furnished, with lots of thoughtful touches. Thick towels, extra toiletries, and well stocked kitchen. Coffee, tea, sweeteners. Bottled water as well. The location is perfect, residential neighborhood, half a block to the water, a quick 5-10 minute walk into the town and restaurants. The owners were very responsive.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway!
Beautiful and convenient location within the heart of downtown/historic New Bern. Once we arrived and parked our vehicle, everything we wanted to do for the weekend was within a pleasant walkable distance.
