"Such an idyllic and beautiful place surrounded by stunning lakes and lush forests. It was truly a beautiful one night stay that I wish could’ve lasted longer. We will surely be back for a longer stay as there was so much that myself and my son (8) wanted to do like paddle boarding, pedal boats and horse riding too! My only negative was being surprised with a €300 deposit which was not mentioned on the website I booked through (hotels.com). The pod which we stayed in required a bit of...
"The lovely lady owner, the quiet and clean gite with small kitchenette, the perfect baguette and croissant and home made confiture. All just perfect for a short stay."
"The host made us feel very welcome, personally showing us to our room and explaining the facilities available to us. An ideal out of town location for those looking peaceful surroundings yet not too far from the Dieppe car ferry port."
"Breakfast was excellent and the house is very nicely appointed and has interesting décor. A great spot for our day trip by car to Dieppe, on a route from Vimy to Juno."
"Very comfortable stay. The host was very welcoming and very friendly. Our room was typically French and very comfortable. Tha property is convenient for trips yo and from Dieppe, a trip we often make and we will aim to stay here on future trips."

"Our experience at the Gites du Colombier was mixed. The property is beautiful, quiet, and has helpful hosts who provide local activity information. It’s an ideal place to stay. The nearby town of Tôtes is charming, with excellent dining options like La Vieille Auberge, Au comptoir gourmand, and Restaurant Le Normandy, all of which we highly recommend. However, the website listing is inaccurate. Features mentioned were absent, leading to additional costs. For example, the website shows an ‘above-ground’ pool, but there was none. Wifi is available in the owners’ home, 100 meters away, so we had none. The electric car charging port is described as ‘on-site’ but is actually a commercial point 2 km away. The website claims a nearby river and beach for waterskiing, but the nearest beach is over 40 km away, and we found no river. We were charged extra for towels and bedlinen and had to make our own beds when we arrived, and then 50 for cleaning for a four-night stay. Before checkout, we received a bill for electricity and water. While some chambres d’hotes charge extra for services, this isn’t common in the UK, and none of these charges were mentioned on the website. Vrbo should ensure accuracy, as this listing isn’t. We would have highly recommended the accommodation if it had been as listed."
"Good parking in free public car park at back of hotel. Well decorated older building. Good ambiance. Simple but adequate rooms. Bring you own kettle! Lovely staff. Good restaurant. Good value for money"
"The place is a 3 bed converted barn with a lovely open fireplace and endless wood, great views over the enormous garden and lovely French furniture, a 2 minute walk from the sea and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen and bathroom was clean, although we shared the place with a few cobwebs. Our host left us warm apple cake and homemade jam and kindly brought us towels when we contacted her. We stayed in September for a few nights, with three kids (3-10) and 2 dogs. They had a lovely stay, there was plenty of space to run around. Our long weekend was very enjoyable and very good value. "
