"We had an unexpected layover in Venlo and stayed here 1 night. It is a beautiful, quiet property nestled in a forest area. The staff was accommodating and the room was very nice. It was not walking distance to Venlo or the train station but the taxi ride was inexpensive. No restaurants near the hotel but the hotel does have a bar/restaurant with a picturesque patio area and friendly staff. "

"I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. "This place is an aging hotel that needs the rooms to be renovated but I think the lower prices reflect that.. My room had a small bit of wallpaper coming loose and the shower head was badly located but other than that it was just dated. It was clean and spacious with a good view of the courtyard.. Plenty of parking on a hard stand surface (not gravel) so I deal for my motorcycle.. we had a good continental breakfast included in the very reasonable tariff.. Overall I would highly recommend this...

"This home was a perfect stay during our visit to the Düsseldorf trade show(about 30 min). The apartment was super clean, bright, all the comforts of home plus more extras like spices, coffee, shampoo, and welcome drink and snack. Ellen was delightful and a wonderful host.
