"Hotel staff members were professional yet friendly and eager to ensure we had a great experience. We were impressed with everything from the very comfortable mattress on our bed to truly excellent dinners in The Library restaurant and lounge. They warned us that the rooms sometimes may not be super quiet due to the hotel's downtown location and the rooms' proximity to a pub inside the hotel. They were even thoughtful enough to provide packaged ear plugs in one of the nightstands but we didn't notice noise to be a problem at all. In fact, we thought our room was surprisingly quiet for such an old albeit remodeled hotel. We also loved all of the historical photos on the walls throughout the hotel, showing pride in the establishment's and Nelson area's past."
