"Location great for having a car. Transport into and of Bordeaux was easy. Uber was straightforward as was the tram. We arrived and it was hot! Pool was very much welcome, but no shade around the pool area and one umbrella (1 of 2) was broken so very little shade by the bar area. Shame as only downside to a lively hot."

"The actual building and rooms are much nicer than the pics. Room was a bit on the smaller side with no closets for clothes or a tea kettle (but you can get one from the front desk) but very clean and comfy beds. The view from my room on 8th floor was decent. Breakfast is pretty good except for the coffee which was spoilt by the powdered milk in the machine- get a double expresso and add fresh milk (they even have soy milk and almond milk). Front desk was very helpful. Great value. Oh and there are tons of cool bars 5 min walk along the docks. And great Indian Papdum 2 min away. H1 H2 buses in front and 15 min walk to tram stations if you don't want to bus it."

"Room functional and clean if small. Found the lighting insufficient but maybe it’s my eyes. Staff friendly, but very young, as one would expect from a place that has individual rooms as well as hostel beds in shared rooms. The place is bright and funky, which works for me. If you like exposed plywood, quirky wall paintings, games, and a popcorn machine, this could be the place for you. The breakfast was excellent: fresh bread and croissants, a choice of juices and cold cuts, granola and yogurt and fresh fruit (And one day there was bacon! Bliss.) The price was right, but this is low season. There’s a gym across the street as well as a nearby tram stop that takes you across the river to the UNESCO downtown in mere minutes. For a hike, walk to the WW2 German U BOAT pens, which now house art installations, in the opposite direction, as I did. It’s a half hour. Your TBM pass - I bought a 10 ticket one - is good on the river boats, an excellent way to get a different view of the city."
