Let's just say that we became best friends with the maintenance staff. Several visits from them throughout the week. Here is a short list of what was a distraction to our dream vacation:
1. Bose sound system to TV in the common room does NOT work at all.
2. You can NOT TAKE A BATH because the tub leaks all the way down to the 3rd floor. The bath is a jet-spa but that also does not work.
3. The master toilet does not flush, and looks like they've tried to fix it with a close pin LOL
4. The freezer does not seal, thus everything you put in there will be coated in ice by morning. Fun.
5. Master bedroom TV DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.
6. One of the sliding doors to beach view in Master bedroom DO NOT OPEN.
7. The floor of this place just can't be cleaned.... so strange, but we had BLACK FEET all week, until we realized he needed to wear shoes in the condo. Gross.
Not being a Karen, really, but this is a neglected property. When we brought these ITEMS to the attention of Thane Creech, the property manager, he suggested we pack our bags and go elsewhere. Jerk move. We had just unpacked and did our major grocery run...I wasn't going to uproot my Wife and girls and tell them we were going to find another place. He knew as much, and it was really an underhanded response.
We won't be back.
On the upside, Navarre Beach is AWESOME and we will find some property owners that give a crap about customer experience.
Don't let this review deter you from Navarre. It's incredible. You can make your way to Destin, Fort Walton, or Opal Beach within 20 minutes and get a little more "touristy", but Navarre is laid back and chill.
