"The apartment was dark and faced the restaurant with a high hedge opposite. The 2nd bedroom was in the apartment ceiling and the room was very dark. My daughter was not happy to sleep in it. It was also accessed by open slippery stairs. This was not described within the apartment details. If so, I would never have booked it.

"The hotel is very nice. The people were extra friendly, and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. It is a park like setting. Very hard to find due to the driveway exiting directly from the highway. It took us a long time to find the hotel. It was worth the hunt!"
"Beautiful grounds! Staff were so helpful with giving suggestions on several places to visit around the area. I only wish we had been able to spend more time there. We will definitely be back! "

8/10 Good
"Beautiful property. The hosts were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Met us at the property on arrival and met us early when we had to leave early due to the distance to the airport. There are other tenants on the property (adjacent neighbor, tenant in a camper, and the owner in a separate house). All pleasant, but was unexpected based on the ad. If you have mobility issues, this house won't work due to three flights of stairs to get to bedroom and bathroom area. The terrace and outdoor area is beautiful. There are cats that hang around outdoors and on the outside furniture. They were friendly. Neighbor did have some dog's that barked at times and a house down the road runs an outdoor restaurant, so some late evening noise. Lots to do in the area. Close to the beach (Marina di Alberese - 12 minute drive). Definitely benefited from having a rental car - public transportation would get very expensive due to the distance from town. 15 minutes away from grocery and other shopping. Kitchen utensils and pans were great. Not really any cooking staples (salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc ) so if cooking at the house plan on making a trip to the store in Grosseto (we found the COOP or Carrefour to have most things). The hosts leave enough dishwashing supplies for a few days. There is a washing machine butno dryer. Closest airport in Florence 2 hours away. Be prepared and understand how to use the tolls on the highways if you rent a car. "
"One night’s stay at Fattoria for me, my husband and our 17 year old. The hotel is geared up for a family who love their activities - a full timetable of events, football, tennis, a mini farm and 3 pools. The main pool area was lovely, with a well-stocked pool bar. One thing worth noting, as is sometime the Italian way, this hotel has swimming caps as compulsory. My 17 yr old was not impressed. I think this should be made clear on the website as he did not go in the pool as a result!! (I bought a cap for 4 euros and had a great swim!).
We ate in the pizzeria on site (about 15 mins walk - it’s a large site!) We ate outside and could see the outdoor grill/chef busy at work. Good value and great service. Hotel bar had a good atmosphere so we had a drink before bed.
Breakfast was served buffet-style in a large room. All very nice.
Bedroom was abit dated but OK, we all slept well.
Lots of parking spaces.
We visited Castiglione della Pescaia but it was very busy and hot. Looked lovely but we didn’t stay long.
All in all, lots on offer if you want it. Good hotel in a great spot. "
