Good value for the price. Be rational with your expectations, and you will be happy. Just there an overnight stay and have no complaints. Was hot out and the air conditioner worked well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Same man in the office that I saw a few years ago during a previous stay; nice, helpful. No issues.

Cheap motel but had all I needed.

Cheap motel but everything I needed for just 1 night stay. People running the place were very helpful. Was convenient to have the diner next door. Decor all a bit dated, but everything worked and it was a good nights stay.

We spent the weekend here visiting Washington and Lee University. It was clean, quiet, reasonably priced, and close by the university. We also, went to Natural Bridge and did a short hike. It was convenient having the Pink Cadillac diner right aside of the property. The food was good.

Family vacation stay

For $80 a night I was expecting something updated and without a loose toilet. The toilet was not secured to the floor, the gap under the door took two bath towels to block, but the staff was incredible.

I booked this motel while planning for graduation at Liberty University. Since I waited until the last minute, options were limited, and this was the closest reasonably priced stay I could find that wasn’t over $200 a night. Even so, it was still nearly an hour from campus. After a long drive, we checked in and immediately noticed the bathroom light flickered constantly, which could be problematic for anyone sensitive to flashing lights. When I checked the bed, the sheets appeared not to have been changed, as there were what looked like leg hairs on them. I went back to the front desk and requested a different room. The staff were polite and accommodating and moved us to another room for the night. The replacement room had clean sheets, although one of the queen beds had a visibly broken frame and couldn’t really be used. Fortunately, one bed was enough for us. When we returned to the original room for the remainder of our stay, it had been cleaned properly and stocked with brand-new towels. However, the bathroom light still flickered, so we simply left it off whenever possible. Overall, the staff provided good customer service, but the motel itself is older and would benefit from significant updates and renovations.

It was a late check in, tired, and wanted to rest. The room was very hot. AC would not go or even set below 80 degrees even after 20 mins or so. Also 4 stink bugs was congregated on top of the curtains. Top it off, the fire alarm was just hanging by the wire from the ceiling. I promptly turned the key back and left. Maybe I am just one off but cannot recommend

I'm the type of person who can accept a lot, especially when I stay at a cheaper hotel. However, there were things that I'd like to forewarn other travelers about. Pros, conveniently located to hike Natural Bridge State Park, which is why we were there. The room was clean and even barefoot on the carpet and bathroom floors was good. Bed comfortable with clean sheets. Hot shower. Pink Cadillac Cafe right next door was great. Cons. Do not stay in room 102 if you like watching TV. I can't speak of other rooms, but this was the most bizarre layout I'd ever seen. The TV was parallel to the beds. It sat on a dresser with the bed 6 inches away so the drawers could not be opened. There was space on the wall facing the beds for the dresser/TV, so I don't know why it wasn't there. The bathroom situation was toilet and shower in the tiniest space imaginable. A large person would have trouble fitting.

Great price. Hasn’t been remodeled in quite some time. I’m thinking maybe the 80’s, but it’s right off 81, close to attractions. The ac is so loud you’ll never hear other guests in their rooms. It does seem like there are a few folks which might be living there on a more permanent basis, but they didn’t bother me.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We chose this place for the price and its proximity to the VA safari. We booked 2 non-smoking rooms, but they were not next to each other; one was on the front and the other on the back. The office offered us a smoking room and a non-smoking room on the front so the rooms would be next to each other. The rooms were disgusting! The showers were dirty, the carpet had stains, and the toilets were gross. We decided to leave, but the office was closed, so we had to leave the keys in the key box outside. Safety was definitely a concern for this hotel. I would suggest spending extra money.

We took one look around this room and left within 5 minutes. The bathroom was filthy. There was hair all over the tub and the floor . When we checked for bed bugs we found blood stained sheets and hair on the sheets. The only good thing is that the man at the desk didn't give me an argument and immediately processed a refund for me.
