"Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"This was just what we needed. It was nice to unplug for a few days and just enjoy our family with no distractions. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We made s’mores on the fire and cooked steaks on the grill. There is a lot of things to do within a short distance."

Plenty of room and gorgeous woodwork and wrap around porch. Beds and shower were especially nice! Lots of extra touches to make you feel welcome and special! Want to come back when we can just stay in the cabin for a few days and not leave for events."

"Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods! Plenty close to all Natural Bridge attractions and not far from Lexington either! My husband and I and two kids (6 and 3) loved this area and the scenery and fresh air I it here. Sun room and sound of the brook was very peaceful. "We had an absolutely lovely stay while visiting Washington & Lee with our son. The cabin is immaculate and beautifully decorated Scandinavian style. And the view is priceless. Can not wait to come back for another stay and hope to get the host’s homemade blueberry scones delivers right to the porch next time. 👍❤️"

"Perfect home for our family for a week spent around graduation at VMI. We had no idea we’d be staying in a VMI alumnus’ home. Extra treat! The house was well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen for family meals. Location was perfect with amenities like the beautiful wrap around porch that overlooks the river. John was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely recommend this host/property and try to stay at this same location should the opportunity arise."

"This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!"

"We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out."
