"Very friendly staff for this hostel. Our family had our own room with a double bed and twin bunks. Worked great for us. There was a communal kitchen with bins in the fridge to keep our stuff separate; bathroom and showers down the hall were very clean--nice hot water showers! Our kids loved the hang out room which had Foosball, ping pong, and pool table. Great location close to Tongariro National Park."

The house is very conveniently located for hikes in the area and lovely to come back to the warm fire after being out in the cold and rain. Large garage with plenty of room to park the car and big wood stack. Perfect location for shuttles to Tongariro crossing too which we hope to come back to do one day in better weather conditions. "Spacious comfortable two level property with views from the top floor lounge and kitchen/diner. Well equipped and in good condition. Good Wi-Fi, comfy bed. Good washing facilities. Very quiet - never heard anything from the next property which was attached. 15 minute drive from the Whakapapa Visitor Centre. Great homely and reasonable restaurant 10 mins walk away. Highly recommended"
