"We had a great stay at The Berkshires! This property is styled as a cozy midcentury modern destination, and the decor certainly lives up to that! The room itself, as well as the lobby and common areas, were gorgeously designed, and the outdoor fire pits made for an excellent reading spot after dark.
During our stay, there were a few other guests, but the lobby was quiet and we rarely encountered other people. Staffing seems minimal, but friendly and helpful. I'm assuming peak tourist season looks a bit different, but it the quiet was perfect for us!
Our bed was comfortable, and we had all the amenities you'd expect at a basic hotel - nice shower, luxury bath products, fluffy towels, hair dryer, drinking water. The lobby area also serves as the restaurant, bar, and reading/working nook. We did not eat at the restaurant/bar, but the menu looked delicious and they source produce from local providers. The morning self-serve hot water and tea selection was excellent, but the coffee offered was the instant K-cup style, which we passed on.
We were surprised to see the motel-style layout (all one building, with exterior-facing room doors) as the website and descriptions cleverly obscure this fact, but the quality of the experience more than made up for it. We paid a fair price for our stay, but I can see that peak season prices may feel mismatched to the experience. I'd recommend this location for larger families/groups, or for folks who want a quiet beautiful place to stay."
