Polynesian shores is a beautiful, recently renovated (2020) oceanfront resort on the charming, rocky shore of Honokowai, Maui, just 6 miles north of Lahaina- town. Enjoy swaying palms, fragrant plumeria trees, the calming sound of waves breaking against the shoreline, spectacular nightly sunsets, and unsurpassed ocean views of Molokai, Lanai, and Pailolo Channel. Observe sea turtles swimming close to shore in the warm shallow saltwater, and in the winter months, majestic kohola or humpback whales playfully surface, tail slap, or blow spouts in the air. Our spacious, lush grounds/complex are ideal for your vacation. Pamper yourself at our oceanfront swimming pool and spa. Picnic tables and barbecues are available for use and located on the water's edge. Investigate the seasonal beach or walk to local bars, restaurants, and stores within our complex; surfing and golfing are nearby. There is even a farmer’s market three days a week and on-site free parking and laundry. Paradise

This is a very comfortable and well appointed condo in a great location on west Maui. We enjoyed amazing whale sightings and sunsets everyday right from the lanai. Everything was as a advertised and the owners and caretakers provided great communication.

Maui Paradise

What a beautiful vacation. The amenities were unexplainable. We spent the week watching humpback whales, snorkeling, hiking, many other close by excursions. Grocery stores close by many restaurants and so much to do we truly appreciated the unexplainable views from the property. We got to see multiple sea turtles, schools of dolphins and herds of humpback whale. What a memorable experience. Mahalo!!!!

Home away from home

Cozy complex with wonderful views. Elaine and Rocco were always a step ahead with check-in/codes/address/check-out instructions. Well stocked kitchen implements/pots/pans. Also, beach chairs, coolers, boogie board, etc. Comfortable beds and pillows. Spent most time out on balcony! Morning runs going north on the road was busy with other runners and walkers, and cars but fun all the same. Banana bread stand 1.25 miles north on Saturdays 9am only. Fun beach for nearby sunset hang out .25 miles north - watch surfers and sea turtles. Don't miss this non- resort gem!

Fun family vacation

We had a lovely time—plenty to do, lots to see, time to relax looking over the ocean at whales and turtles and sunsets. Perfect home base—would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful vacation spot

Our winter stay was amazing at this comfortable and well outfitted condo. We watched whales from the lanai every morning and have seen lots of green turtles at the beach by the complex. Beautiful snorkeling at the Napili beach and perfect Kaanapali beach are within very short drive. Thank you, it was a wonderful stay!

This is the place to stay if you want to relax without the big resort crowd. Very nice clean place has everything you need, great. ocean few, quite peaceful. Great friendly tenants that live there all year round. Definitely recommended

What an amazing beautiful property with the best view of the ocean! Everything you need is in this condo, from utensils to beach chairs to towels etc… my husband and our 3 kids loved it here! We felt safe and were grateful for such wonderful hosts! The condo has a bedroom downstairs with 2 twin beds, the king bed is upstairs! There’s two bathrooms and it’s stocked up with all the essentials which we appreciated so much! One of the best views ever!

Paradise vacation

Wonderful stay!

Our six family members aged 13-66 loved our nine night stay at this property. Sitting on the lanai watching the tropical birds, whales, and waves was a highlight for us. Lovely and well kept grounds, pool and bbq areas. The unit was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We had an issue with a leak under the sink and it was resolved quickly and efficiently, much appreciated! Overall we would certainly recommend this unit and building. Mahalo!

Absolutely awesome!

We loved this condo at Polynesian Shores. Well stocked with all sorts of beach equipment, bbq and kitchen supplies. The grounds are beautiful and it’s so peaceful here. The folks who run and look after the condo are incredibly helpful & super accommodating. Absolutely breathtaking views from the lanai, especially with the whales playing in the background. Mahalo plenty for letting us enjoy your slice of paradise.

Nice condo

Was a very nice condo Stairs are a little hard with luggage Especially if in the master upstairs Wouldn’t suggest for anyone who has issues with stairs since the unit is on the second floor. Was nice, even without having AC Pool area was very relaxing and the ocean view is beautiful especially at sunset.

RIGHT on the shoreline.

With the oceanfront, you can't get closer to the shoreline...we saw a monk seal in front of the property. Very beautiful though it was not a site you could swim on. Incredibly quiet air conditioning and the rooms are soundproofed well.

Owners need to invest in bigger beach chairs and ice chest!

Nice condo, owners need to invest in bigger beach chairs from Costco should have at least 4 of them and bigger ice cooler! The 2 chairs that were at the condo were way to small and uncomfortable for our beach days!!! Not for big people to sit in for the price we pay for our stay in Maui.

Beautiful condo with an amazing view!

Polynesian Shores is a small, conveniently located complex with the most incredible view. We really appreciated how responsive the owner/management team was when we requested an earlier checkin time. The condo was well appointed with everything you would need for a fun and relaxing vacation. We enjoyed using the beach chairs and snorkel equipment to snorkel at nearby beaches and coves. It was convenient to use the BBQ for a poolside dinner and fun to chat with other guests to share activity recommendations. The ocean-front lanai was a great place to enjoy our morning coffee and sunset cocktails! Can’t wait to return!

Easy living for small group

This condo is very well appointed in a great complex. Numbered parking spots, lots of beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, swim noodles, reef sunblock, coolers: all fantastic! Wish there was a boogie board, but everything else we thought of was there. The pool and bbqs at the complex were clean and well tended. We enjoyed it several days. The construction a few blocks away for a hospital adds a red dust that everyone hates. Makes for a really dirty apartment by the end of the week. We will miss that view for every meal. Lovely!

Great stay

The condo is in a great location. The view is very pretty with plumeria trees, the pool, and the ocean. Our bed was very comfortable. My husband and I stayed two nights with our children aged 22, 19, and 14. We had plenty of room. The kitchen is well supplied with non-food items. It was hot and we couldn't use one fan because it made a terrible screeching noise. A great breeze comes through when bedroom windows and patio door are open. We would consider staying there again if we ever go back to Maui.

Spacious Oceanside Condo

This is a fabulous property located conveniently close to amenities. You can whale watch from the balcony or look for turtles playing in the rocks below. The complex and grounds are well-maintained and the office staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciated the little "extras" at the condo like binoculars, beach towels, beach umbrella, snorkel gear and a boogie board. There was also a fair selection of DVDs and a well-stocked kitchen. No air conditioning, but the ceiling fans and floor fans kept the place comfortable. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the condo is tired and needs some updates.

Wonderful Weekend

Six senior ladies had a wonderful time enjoying the condo & grounds. We left the pool to the younger generations. Condo is nicely decorated (island style, love the wooden fish on the lanai), immaculate, sleeps six comfortably, plenty of towels. Ceiling fans keep it cool. Entry steps and the stairs leading to the loft are a wee bit narrow & steep for older folks, but manageable. Neighbors in the adjoining condo have been there 17 years & Erin (a guy with a girl's name is how he introduced himself) helped us with our bags. Next time on Maui we'll definitely book this place!

Great Condo

It was a great week long stay at Polynesian Shores #213. The condo has amazing views situated on the ocean. The lanai is the best part of the property. We saw whales several times and amazing sunsets. Condo was more than comfortable for 3 adults. The kitchen had all the necessities but was missing some storage and cleaning items. There were quite a few bugs as well, which is normal in Hawaii. Def do not recommend if you need a washer/dryer on vaca. They have ones on site but they are expensive. Not ideal for families. The condos are all on top of each other and some of the long term neighbors are quite rude. The only issue we ran into was contact with the owner. They went days without replying during the trip. The local was great.

Wonderful condo and complex

Three of us stayed at this delightful condo. Inside, it has everything one could want in the kitchen Including a rice cooker, and powerful blender for our smoothies. The living room has two chairs and a very comfy couch with tv and DVD player. There is a loft bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a closed off bedroom with two twins and a lower bathroom. It was nice to have the closed bedroom as my daughter caught a cold and coughing that kept her husband up at night. I wear earplugs and she slept in one of the twins for a couple of nights. There is a lovely pool literally steps from the condo and the garden is beautiful. Look for the turtle in the rocks at the ocean edge. The beach is quite small but you can walk or drive to so many. Fins, masks, beach towels, umbrella, and cooler bag provided. We did boogie boarding and left those for future rentersit on the lanai and watch the sunsets. WOW! There is a puu puu party (appetizers) every Thursday by the pool. Owners and renters were delightful. It has a very small town feel rather than a huge cold hotel. My only negative is really a half star off. There are overhead fans and floor fans but no ac in any of the units. We were there in 86 degree weather and the trade winds were good at keepin it cool if the doors were open. Lahaina is 20 minutes or so away so you can get snorkel or sunset cruises and get to a luau easily. The town is quite fun too. Mahalo and aloha

Bestest Ever

We walked in and was pleasantly surprised. Beds were so comfy, shower nice and strong, lots of closet hangers and space too. The kitchen even had a blender which we put to great use! View was spectacular. I kept waiting for something wrong to surface but nothing at all went wrong. Best of all was all the beach stuff! There were beach chairs and snorkel equipment again, we put to great use. Thank you we will be back in 11 months!!!
