Upon arriving my wife explained that we had a taxi that refused to use the meter and charged almost 4 times the usual fare. Having taken a picture of the side and license plate of the cab the concierge immediately called the cab company and the authorities on our behalf. After extensive discussion the entire fare was refunded later that day. Enquiries at the concierge desk were always handled with professionalism and friendliness not always found from concierges. Excelente estancia.

Was in China for a week, spent the first two nights in Beijing prior to leaving to Chongquig on business. Chose the JW Marriott because of the location. Short cab ride to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The JW Marriott Central exceeded my expectations for cleanliness, staff training, and modern decor of the room. The electrical outlets in the room even accommodated US electrical outlets. On the way back from Chongquig, stayed at the JW Marriott again and upgraded to an executive suite....

The room was spacious and the loft bed was really neat and comfortable. They even have an air purifier in the the room. The breakfast was really good and so was the dinner and affordable too. It was pretty central as well. I would stay there again if I go back to beijing!

I was in China for 10 days. 8 of those days/nights I spent at this gem. There may be other cheaper hotels and Holiday Inns in Beijing with more bells and whistles, but if you are a first time visitor to this wonderful city, this is the place to stay. Other hotels put you in the city center, or are cheaper and are too far, this may be a problem if you are not familiar with transportation. I chose this because it was within walking distance of most famous Chinese historical places. I emailed the...

Wonderful hotel! We stayed in room 1525 and it was beautiful and clean. Iām very particular about hotels and this met my standards. It was refreshing to go out and explore during the day and then return to such a lovely room. Staff were very helpful. Not everyone spoke English fluently but it was easy enough to communicate. Good location that is close to Xiādan metro stop and 2 stops away from Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. There were many upscale stores and typical food courts located...

All the staff were so nice and helpful! The housekeeping lady was especially friendly. She even tucked in my little Peking duck plushie that I left on the bed. Such a sweet gesture! Will definitely go back if we plan on going back to Beijing.

Exceptional service! We lost a phone in a taxi at 2am and the staff assisted in contacting the driver and recovering the phone quickly. They went above and beyond. They also do laundry for free, and we had breakfast included. The location is great for accessing tourist sites, and there are many food options nearby. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I was very impressed by the exceptional services provided by Kobe who worked at the concierge desk. He not only negotiated the seats with the ticketing office for the " Kong Fu Legend ", a show that I highly recommended, but he also arranged the transportations without charges. The car was waiting for us right after the show finished.

I recommend this hotel. The only problem was that I took a reservation for 3 people in an executive suite and, when arrived the only room available had only one bed. ??. I ask for the other bed and They said that the bed have an extra cost.??.
Finally, after a discussion, they did not charged the extra cost.
I don“t know if the problem is from Expedia or from the hotel, but it is not logical a booking for 3 people with only one bed.

Great stay at Lanou Hotel in Beijing! The location is fantasticāclose to many popular attractions, which made sightseeing so easy. The front desk staff were super friendly and check-in was very efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the smooth experience. Highly recommended!

There is a lot of competition for hotels in Beijing. This one lives up to its status as a luxury hotel. The decor is spectacular, filled with lacquer, silk, and original artwork. The staff is incredibly professional. I did have a problem with the wifi and the staff went out of their way to solve the problem. And the location is really good, not far from historical/cultural sites, restaurants, and a metro stop.

top of the line quality of suite materials and amenities as usual by Peninsula;
breakfast can be improved;
great concierge service;
friendliness of staff;
2 restaurants seems to be not enough for such a big institution

An excellent hotel in Beijing! The concierge team was outstanding, going above and beyond to secure entrance tickets to various sights of interest for us, which can be tricky for foreigners to do on their own. They were also super helpful in booking taxis, making our transportation hassle-free.

The hotel is perfect for both business and family travelers for its locatiom, amenities, etc., but for the best stay, contact CECILIA, the hotel concierge, before departing for the hotel bc she IS FANTASTIC (!!!) and really made all of the difference in our stay. She will arrange all of your transportation to/from the airpot and hotel, suggest and arrange any activities, make resrvations to restaurants and venues, and ensure every facet of your stay is perfect.
