"We were greeted by a flurry of butterflies as we arrived-such a lovely sign of the week ahead. It was our first time in the area and we enjoyed exploring as well as relaxing & reading on the porch & deck. The view is awesome! We loved the singing of the katydids in the evening as well as some live music at the Blue Ridge Music Center (twice). Did some exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked a few trails. Thank you for generously providing such a lovely retreat! Hope to return!"

"A great value! Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and staff/management were most welcoming and eager to assist. Meadows of Dan is a great little village in a truly beautiful part of VA on the Parkway. The accommodations are a bit spare, but we will definitely stay here again!"

"Book this cabin…you won’t be disappointed! For the same money as a nice hotel room would have cost, four adults stayed here for three days and loved every minute. The cabin was exceptionally clean and was well stocked with all the necessities. It felt like we had walked into a friend’s home as a guest. The stunning views from the back deck were amazing and we enjoyed the daily visits from two mama deer and their spotted fawns. We even met a couple of the neighbors who live there permanently and they were very friendly and offered advice on places to see & things to do. Having been disappointed in the past with properties that failed to live up to the expectations, it was refreshing to stay at one that exceeded them!"

"The cabin is beautiful and the views fantastic! The best thing we enjoyed was watching the weather change from blue skies with big white clouds, to storms in the distance moving across the valley with rainbows, to a storm above us, to fog and then back to blue skies, all within 30 minutes. The kitchen is very well appointed - much more than most places we have stayed. The beds and couches are comfortable and the porch gliders too - had to make note of the manufacturer for future purchase. As others have noted, four wheel drive is definitely needed. There was a very bad storm the day before we came (10") and actually had washed out bridges and some roads. The drive up to the cabin had bad ruts and we would not have made it without having four wheel drive. We let the owner know because rain was expected all week. They were very responsive and had someone come and smooth it all out. This was a great jumping off spot for exploration of nearby small towns, New River parks and the parkway. Would definitely stay here again."

"My wife and I were looking for a peaceful, uneventful retreat. This camp fit the need perfectly. A few neighbors nearby was comforting. Just enough going on in Fancy Gap that we didn't need to venture far. A little shopping, breakfast and a short drive on the Blueridge parkway to a winery. Mostly a lot of lounging around, caught a small sunfish in the pond and the hot tub was pleasant. Deer, beaver, hawks, turtles, plenty of wildlife. Overall, it was a fine time of relaxation. Great camp! Thanks!"
Lovely 2+bedroom Cabin in Fancy Gap, Coffey Grounds - Blue Ridge Parkway

"We had a wonderful stay at Coffee Grounds in Fancy Gap. Although there isn't a mountain view, it was quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting on the back deck and listening to the wind move through the trees and watching the visiting deer. The cabin was very spacious for the three of us, with plenty of room for more guests. It was clean, cozy, had everything we needed. There's a key card hanging by the door that can be used to open the gate. While there's no AC, fans were provided and kept us comfortable. Close to Mabry Mills, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain."
