The cabin was clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed. The sunsets we saw, nearly every night, were stunning. Overall, this property is excellent for anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation away from the crowds."

"Brought niece and her 2 teens to visit family in Gladstone. 12 yo nephew LOVED fishing!! Everyone went out in kayaks, paddleboat, and played yard games. Exceptionally clean and stocked with what we needed. Reached out to owners for a couple questions and they replied immediately. Definitely recommend this place. "

"We had an enjoyable stay at the cabin. I grew up in the atea and am very familiar with the location, so although I had never been back by this group of cabins before, I knew the general location would be wonderful to stay in. The view is gorgeous here, especially the sunsets. The water is super shallow and my kids loved walking out as far as they could. They also loved playing in the sand on the beach. We had unfortunate timing that coincided with mayfly season (for anyone unfamiliar, you will generally get that around mid-to-late-June) so that was one downside - but certainly no fault of the host’s! Just something to be aware of for anyone staying around that timeframe. We still enjoyed the fire pit and some of the outdoor amenities like bean bag toss.The cabin itself is very rustic but also very charming. The bedrooms don’t have doors, just curtains. So that’s something to be aware of, especially if you have kids that go to bed earlier than you. We had to be extra quiet and keep the lights low so as not to wake them. We were also thankful to have read in one of the reviews the recommendation to bring an extension cord for one of the bedrooms, as it didn’t have any outlets (that we could see). So we came prepared for that and were able to still have the kids’ electronic devices charging in there with them. There were some dead bugs and cobwebs in the window sills, but it wasn’t very bothersome for us.Overall we had what we needed, and it was a very enjoyable stay!"

"Traveling with 3 adults, 3 kids 1-13 and 2 dogs and we all fit. Cottage was very clean, air conditioner worked wonderfully and communication with the host was prompt. The kids loved the fishing, kayaks and paddle boats. The neighbors were great and very friendly. I highly recommend Van Cleve park and Gladstone beach if your traveling with kids. Even the neighborhood dog “Gus” was welcoming "

"We had a lovely time staying here. Played games, watch movies, washed our clothing from our camping trip days before. We loved the proximity to Escanaba, Fayette, and Kitchitikipi. We were able to make a couple of little day trips and relax in the evening and this great home in the woods. Great yard for yard games too! The river and property is beautiful! Thank you Todd for being a grear host! "
