  • Beach Nuts is a truly stunning home awaiting to impress you and your family in South Nags Head. Featuring your own private Observation Entertainment room with views of the ocean, sound and Hatteras Wildlife Reserve. This remarkable area is accessed by a spiral staircase and provides plenty of private sun decking. The Observation Entertainment room is a great place to relax, watch TV or enjoy the magnificent surround sound system.

    The main living area surpasses expectations with its vaulted ceiling, huge living area with great ocean views, expansive decks, dining room and reading nook. You’ll fall in love with the kitchen’s granite and glass mosaic tile and stainless steel appliances! A billiard table and surround sound system for late night entertaining awaits you and the hardwood floors look simply amazing. There is even a full bathroom and a charming bedroom with queen bed. The bedroom has its own access to the sun deck too.

    On the second level a cozy sitting area allows you the privacy you want to catch up on a great book or posting photos of your vacation on Face book! Here you’ll experience an enormous master bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is even a relaxing sitting area to stretch out in as the sun comes up. The expansive deck has a great porch swing so you can enjoy the sweet ocean breezes and views of the Atlantic. A bedroom with 2 full size beds and a bedroom with a queen bed are also located on this level. There is a full hall bath which connects to the queen bedroom as well.

    No matter how many sunsets or sun rises you enjoy at Beach Nuts nothing tops what is waiting outside! The private pool area is beautifully landscaped and includes teak outdoor furniture and hammock for a dreamy afternoon nap! The gorgeous cabana features a Tiki bar, park grill and even a ceiling fan!

    Beach Nuts is a home you will want to return to year after year. Remarkable inside and out!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We almost didn't get to come due to my Gamma Knife Procedure. We made itand had a wonderful time. The location and rental were great. No 1/2 bath upstairs and no elevator. Otherwise lovely.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation at Beach Nuts. Initially there were a couple items that needed to be addressed but the management team was quick to respond. The only suggestion to the owners we would make is to upgrade the upstairs bed as it is extremely squeaky! Other than that we loved it! The kids enjoyed the large pool area and the dads enjoyed the observation room surround sound. Short walk to the beach and cart provided is a win! We will definitely be back.

In all the houses I have stayed in, this one was the least welcoming. Just small things, like there were no kitchen towels, there were no rugs in bathrooms. The dining room table was pretty, but not very comfortable.

Beach Nuts Vacation Sadness

Reviewer Comments: Our week of Anniversary celebrations, our 46 th and my youngest son’s 2nd , along with my oldest son and wife and 3 toddler grandchildren came to a very quick end on the 3rd day when a mandatory evacuation occurred. We had all traveled from different areas in Ohio to spend the week together.The time that we had 3 nights and 2 short days were loved by all .The rental was in a nice, quiet area and was obviously loved and taken good care of by the owners. We were all very sad to leave but with young children we didn’t want to take any chances. The property was clean and well maintained and the decor was comfortable and inviting. My only concern was that the rental company did not call us and advise us as to what exactly to do or when exactly we had to evacuate .I called them and asked and if they could compensate in any way. The answer was no , only if you have hurricane insurance. It also seems that even though we did not purchase” hurricane insurance “ , some type of reimbursement would be offered if the owners understood what happened. Even possibly be able to finish out our lost week at an off season period or at a discounted rate . We would love to go back and would like to thank the owners for offering a lovely home.. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home, but owner is watching guests through camera(s).We arrived late after a 15 hour drive. House doesn’t allow dogs so our plan was to have family (who live in OBX) keep them at their house. This was a last minute booking for our 16 yr old daughter to celebrate recent cancer remission diagnosis. Before we could even unpack the next morning, we received frantic calls about our dogs on the property because the owner saw us on video the night before when we were checking in. There is a doorbell camera, and what appears to be a camera in the house. Multiple odd chimes and rings could be heard in the house randomly. My kids were so spooked they refused to spend much time there, so we ended up spending most of our time at my family’s house. People come and go in bathing suits, so knowing someone was watching my family was very creepy. While the doorbell camera itself isn’t illegal, the potential for recording audio and the inside camera likely is. Proceed with caution.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed the house and it’s close distance to the beach right there as well as the drive on beach ramps. The house has lots of cool extras like an ice maker and crows nest with tv, sound system, and telescope. The only things I didn’t love were that the nearest convenience store was about a 10 minute drive and that the house wasn’t the most child friendly. They did make an effort to accommodate kids by providing and pack-n-play, high chair, and baby gate which was awesome but there are many breakable tables and decorations and the deck railings made me nervous for our almost 2 year old (we couldn’t let her go on the decks without being held). Also the back of the table seating is the wall where the stairs are so I was constantly afraid one of the kids would climb and fall. Aside from that we did enjoy it very much and would most likely chose this house again.

Great house & location

Loved all the different porches and the viewing tower to watch the stars. Pool table was a hit. Liked that the host provided beach chairs and beach cart. Kitchen was nicely stocked and the ice machine was the best.

Great OBX Get Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family stayed here the third week of July. This house has it all. It is by far the nicest house on the street. Truly a great space to spread out and enjoy the beach. The house has plenty of space so everyone can relax in their own area. The OBservation deak was great with very nice views across the entire island. The pool area is not large but very convenient, a great place to just chill out with a cocktail and relaxor grill out. The bedrooms were large enough to fit everyone's needs. The master suite with the sitting area is larger than most hotel rooms The pool table was a great addition to the upper level and got plenty of use during our stay. Only complaint would be the spotty internet service and cable reception. Very difficult if not impossible to actually watch tv on the observation deck. It was not that big of a deal most of the week but did lead to a long day the one day we had heavy rain. Property could use a little TLC but it's still in good shape for a rental. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a cool spot along the outer banks.

First Nags Head Trip

Property was very clean. The 2 minute walk to the beach was perfect! Really enjoyed our stay.

Our home away from home!

The pool area is awesome and the walk to the beach isn't bad at all. We like the quiet street because we walk to the beach with the kids and they like to ride their bikes.The only part we were upset with is the cleaning people did not do a good job at all. I recommend a better cleaning company. The floors still had sand all over them and we could tell they did the bare minimum. We always go through with Lysol when we first get there anyway but still it could have been better.

Best Family Vacation

Beach Nuts is a beautiful home with so many amenities that you never really have to leave the house. It was clean and we loved the layout of the bedrooms. The walk to the beach is super short and easy. We had 2 teenage boys and an 11 year old boy with us. The older boys enjoyed hanging out in the observatory where there was a larger television and a great view of the ocean and shooting pool. The younger one thoroughly enjoyed the pool! The only thing I might suggest is that someone cleans the pool midweek. After the storms came through it left the pool dirty but we have experience with how to use the pool equipment so we just cleaned it ourselves. It was by far one of our best vacations!

The pictures you see online are exactly what you get from this rental. The beach is right around the corner and the back yard with the pool is so fun. The sunsets you see from the observation deck are breathtaking. We finally found a vacation home that we will try to get to at least once a year.

Trip of a lifetime!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is one of a kind. The house was perfect to accommodate my family of 8. The house is even more impressive in person. My family loved the multiple decks to relax on and catch the sunrise and sunset. The pool area was very private. The house is extremely spacious with enough entertaining areas it almost is impossible to use them all. I can not wait to go back next year. The house is clean and has everything you could need to enjoy your time there. There was a lot of thought put into making sure guests enjoy themselves. This was an amazing vacation that I won't forget.

Average beach rental

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures on the rental website need to be updated. The beds by the pool are gone and there’s just a hammock now. Very disappointed over that. Also, there was dogs hair all over the sofas, on the main living floor and in the observation tower. Under the end tables you could see thick white hair also, so cleanliness is definitely an issue. There should be more bath towels and tags left when there are more ham four renters. The mattress in the upstairs very small bedroom was hard as a rock. Don’t fool yourself and think you will have a great ocean view. You can see the ocean in spots, but no great view at all. There’s no gas grill for renters use- have to use charcoal. I feel the house is overpriced for no ocean view and being outdated and not super clean.

Excellent Family Vacation Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the first day we arrived we were blown away by the charm and beauty of this home. There are several decks my family chose to relax on and we used the pool almost everyday. Nice outdoor furniture and plenty of seating to host your guests. The large living area has a huge loveseat and couch with plenty of views of part of the ocean out the spacious windows. The dining room table seats 10-12 and we played cards and games on it when it rained on one of the days. It truly was a relaxing week and my family enjoyed being able to go to separate rooms in the house to just chill and/or read a book. The house is located a block from the ocean so it was a simple walk to get to the beautiful Atlantic ocean. We did get plenty of exercise because you had to get used to the 3-4 flights of stairs inside and outside to get to the pool. :)

Nice Week and Good Space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the location of this house so close to the beach and not having to cross Rt 12. Also the beach cart was AWESOME to have to trek to the beach with all the chairs and tents. The living space upstairs is open with lots of space for the little ones to run around and the adults to "play" as well. The furnishings, kitchen décor/design, and floors were all nice and we did not have a problem with sound traveling from one floor to another as we have had in previous houses. Pool was great, although we were really excited about the outdoor hanging beds, and they were not there; rather, a single hammock was in their place. That was a disappointment and should be updated in the amenities. The Birds Nest level seemed really cool, but honestly we did not spend any time there, and the children we had were too young to go up and down the slippery twisty stairs on their own, so I do not think we really took advantage of it, but it was a nice view from the deck. The Stair case from the 2nd level up to the third is quite slippery as well (with the carpet) - at least 2 adults and 1 child slipped on them during the week and fell down. Overall, this is a very nice home and we had a lovely week, but it was a little pricey for us.
