The location of this property was perfect, with stunning views from the front deck. We had a wonderful time on the beach, which was gorgeous. The house however, needs some work. Upon arriving, the house was dirty with food crumbs on the floor/counters and hand print smears on the dining table. There were dead bugs on the floors, and all of the windows were filthy. The vacuum was left in the middle of the hallway and there were cleaning supplies left out also. We spent the first couple hours cleaning, unsure if it had actually been cleaned prior to us arriving. I also found old clothing in dresser drawers and blankets just thrown on the floor in the closets.
The coffee machine did not work, which meant we had to go out every morning and buy coffee- an expense we weren’t planning on. The toilets did not flush properly, and the shower was completely clogged and filled with hair, and wouldn’t drain! (So gross) After calling the rental company several times without hearing back, my husband fixed/unclogged the shower himself. The furniture is outdated and some of it broken. The screen door leading out to the deck was also broken.
Overall we had a great time and did not let the negative aspects of the house ruin our trip. We were however, extremely disappointed in the house and care given to it. The cleaning crew, if there even is one, does a terrible job. This is the first time renting through VRBO with a cleaning job done so poorly.
