The mighty Kjosfossen is one of many highlights on the Flåm Railway. The waterfall has a total fall of 93 meters and is only accessible by train. It is posible to experience Kjosfossen all year, which gives the traveler the opportunity to visit a roaring waterfall during summer and pass by a snow and ice-covered waterfall during winter.

"We have been to the cabin in Vallavik for a week at the end of August and enjoyed it a lot. It is a perfect place for excursions and hikes around the hardanger fjord. The view on the fjord and the bridge is really great."

Vallevik Fjordhytter, our cabin on the mountain was charming and peaceful and everything one could want! Paul was there for us if we ever needed anything or had any questions, very kind! "We spent four wonderful days in this comfortable home and were able to visit several of the fjords that are within a comfortable driving distance. The home is quiet and private, and all five of us enjoyed our stay. Even though the kitchen is a little snug, it had everything we needed to cook dinner. "A most stunning location with beautiful views of the fjord. Everything in the house was top notch and well thought through. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets, utensils and crockery. The living room had very plush comfortable sofas. The beds were comfortable. The linen and towels were clean and neat. The only thing that was a bit odd was that such a big house for 8 people had only 1 bathroom. There were 2 toilets though, which is a good thing. Parking place just next to the house. Overall, I would still give it a 10/10."

A Magical Stay. Life changing and Unforgettable

"I know they didn't create the view, but it was hard not to think you were in paradise the entire time. The breakfast was my absolute favorite. The close proximity to Viking Village makes this place a 'must stay'. We stayed in one of the 'less fancy' cabins... but because of the view we still felt spoiled. "
