"Thought My Tho would be a good introduction to Mekong Delta, but it was a disappointment really. Very shabby town and hotel was also shabby. Room was clean but very basic. Days begin early and noise woke us at 4.30am. Bed linen & towels in hotel were very thin. Staff spoke very little English but tried to be helpful. Other travellers we met were equally disappointed. We took a boat trip to other islands -ok but routine tourist stops that weren't very interesting."
"We have mixed feelings about our stay at the Mekong Lodge. The hotel and grounds are quaint, and we got to extensively relax at the bar and by the pool, which was nice after being in loud and busy HCMC. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, and the sounds of construction filled the air from 730am to 730pm -> not so nice if you intend to take a nap in your room, or eat lunch in the restaurant by the water. "We have come to stay at this hotel many times over the years whenever we come to My Tho, it’s a GEM. Clean and very convenient location, well kept property, recently remodel. Very good and variety breakfast daily. An excellent place for dining too and plenty of options outside of the hotel. A five minutes walk to the market. I would recommend that they should install shower instead of bath to accommodate elderly and short people. However, everything else is perfect. Strongly recommend that you book the room with the river view for sunrise and sunset. It’s well worth the money."
"This is an historic sprawling building situated on the river front. The front desk reception was very friendly and enthusiastic. She gave us a room on the second floor with balcony overlooking the river. Room was basic but comfortable. Internet was fine. Shower was good. Facilities in the room were relatively new, perhaps a few years at most. Bed and linen were comfortable. There is a minibar and fridge in the room.
Breakfast consisted of a menu. You can order one feed and one drink. I had acceptable bun bo hue. I asked for an orange juice and a coffee which surprised the waitress but was granted to me.
Id stay here again if I visit My Tho in the future. "
"We had a very relaxing stay. After coming from Danang it was very quiet and peaceful. Our room had a great view of the river. Good facilities. Great food at the restaurant and staff were helpful and friendly. "
"Rooms were large and clean. Shampoo, body wash, comb and cotton buds. Bottled water daily. Kettle, fridge, tv and hairdryer. Bath Mat. Daily housekeeping available - just put the sign on your door. The housekeeping ladies were so lovely. Would get you anything you needed. Offered to clean our rooms even though it was not necessary. Quang (I believe is the manager) speaks perfect English. Other reception staff also friendly. Think the hotel has 5 floors operated by an elevator. We arrived on Phuong Trang bus from Can Tho 155k. Bus company had transfer vehicles to and from both hotels. Hotel doesn’t have motorbike rentals. We found Motorbike Rentals My Tho on google (check out my review). Parking for motorbike is in the large undercover parking lot opposite the hotel and is manned 24/7. Security also friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel. "
