"The villa is beautiful, lovely inside and out. Very spacious and it really has everything inside you could need. The pool area is very large and the pool is large and beautiful, our only issue was the lack of workable umbrella stands as there is no shade around the pool until about 4pm. We didnt find too much to do local to the villa, there is a nice restaurant (La Taberna) in rucalmuto but we drove to San Leone, which had an array of resturants and beautiful beaches and just 20 mins drive...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was a great location, close to the lovely community of Caltavuturo. The host provided very useful recommendations about the property, dining, shopping and other activities. The shops in town were great, including the butcher, the bakery and the pasticceria, not to mention the chef and team at AlterEgo restaurant. The villa was well appointed, it offered a number of areas within and outside the property to relax and enjoy the views and experience....

"Highlight of my Sicily travels. A great place to chill. An hour’s drive from many sites. Pool to cool down. Wonderful outdoor space. Giorgio was friendly and helpful. Took some determination to find it but so glad I did. Would appreciate a larger espresso pot- such a small problem in an almost perfect world."

"The apartment was modern, large and very well equipped. Angelo and his family were very gracious and always available to help. They even brought over some of the best pastries I have ever tasted! I can't say enough nice things about my stay, except I forgot to mention the views of the valley and the Mediterranean Sea were fabulous."

"Beautiful property but many millipedes everywhere, water off several times, dogs barking every night, nosy owner who came by daily and we had to pay for electricity used for time there. We have rented many times from HomeAway but never was charged for electricity. We did get deposit refunded the day we left minus charge for electricity. Besides the above we did enjoy our stay there."

"Francesco and Stephanie were extremely nice and very helpful. Their English is good and they respond to texts and emails promptly. The directions to get to the property were very good and it was easy to find - Francesco was waiting for us on the corner! The property is an old Sicilian farmhouse which has been in the family for 5 generations. It is on 2 levels with original floor tiles on the upstairs landing. It is located in a quiet rural area below a road with nice views out, 13.5 kilometres...

"Eine schöne geräumige Wohnung, in der man alles findet, was man für ein paar Tage braucht. Supermarkt, guter Bäcker etc. findet sich alles in 10 min zu Fuß. Zum Charme trägt sicherlich bei, dass die frühere Besitzerin mit Bildern und Andenken und so immer noch sehr präsent ist. Sehr nett und hilfsbereit sind die Gastgeber. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die Straße vor dem Haus. Eng und man muss entweder rückwärts rein fahren oder eben rückwärts wieder raus."

If driving, heads up to putting "via Athnea" as part of the address, as the street is not one you can drive on, it is a long staircase street. The apt. is situated at the top of the stairs , so be prepared to do a lot of stairs."

"Die Einrichtung ist sehr stilvoll und modern. Leider hatte unser Zimmer im Schlafzimmer kein richtiges Fenster - nur eines, was in einen dunklen Innenschacht geht. Das liegt daran, dass die Unterkunft in einer kleinen Gasse sehr nahe der Altstadt liegt. Für eine Nacht war es für uns jedoch kein Problem. Die Unterkunft war überwiegend sauber (ein paar fremde Haare im Bad) und die Minibar netterweise gefüllt, ebenso Kaffee-, Tee- und Kekse vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war...

"The owner was interesting and friendly, and the place was very interesting too. breakfast was very good too. The Villa is by itself in a rural area, but only a few miles from a town with restaurants. We had a room for three and it was spacious and had a nice wraparound deck with nice views of the countryside"
