"Room was a bit dated but spotless, the staff excellent, fabulous location and views. Only drawback was the beach had suffered storm erosion and it and the beach bar was closed. Jetty park and beautiful beaches very close by. The restaurant, a separate attached business, was always hopping with great food and extensive bar with excellent staff. I expect to return many times. "Check in was through a creepy window and on top of that they require a cash deposit. So had to go down the street to get cash then come back. They also couldn’t place me in a ground level room even though I placed it for easier access since I have a torn ligament. They still denied me a first floor room. Room was fine, desperately needs a remodel especially with the prices. The beginning of my stay it was only supposed to be me but things changed and my partner ended up staying over with me since the neighborhood seemed unsafe. What seemed like a nonissue right? Wrong. I called the front desk the day before my last day to try to extend it. Receptionist was not helpful and wanted to bring up that I had lied about how many people were staying and that I will be charged an additional 10 dollars a day for it. On top of that also threatening to tow our vehicles. So unprofessional. You’d think that with a five night stay and thinking about extending it that I’d receive the same respect I’d given them. I have never been to a hotel/motel/airbnb that charged a guest fee and the intimidation demonstrated from the staff was uncalled for. Save your money and stay somewhere nice and with friendly staff. Might I add I did not get my 50 dollar cash deposit back."
