"Genuinely one of the most jarring stays I’ve ever had to date. Don’t believe the pictures; the air conditioned comfort penthouse advertised does not have windows in the walls of the apartment, and was barely ‘indoors’ much less ‘air conditioned’. "This hotel is at the heart of historic Salvador, footsteps from everything. Because of its location, only official taxis are allowed to drive through, so don't take Uber to get there. The staff is so friendly, the breakfast spread was fantastic, the hotel gives a high-end boutique experience where the amenities are modern but the decor and architecture is authentic to historic Salvador."

However you should really, really, really invest on purchasing mattress sheets with the elastic bands the grab the mattress. What is up with using regular sheets on the mattress?? Have of the time, after a few tosses and turns during the night, one ends up sleeping on the bare mattress. Thank goodness it was clean. Nevertheless, it was still gross. "
