"Corte della Maestà is the most incredible and unique place in Italy where we have stayed. Absolutely amazing gardens, stellar first class accommodations in a 1200 year old building. It’s the home of Paulo and Christiana, our gracious and generous hosts. If you have the opportunity and it’s available, you will never regret your stay with them in luxury suites!"
"This was a fantastic choice. Close to Bolsena and the lake, and such a lovely place. The staff were brilliant and super friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this place and we will be back for sure. "
"Really a lovely hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, the staff was super helpful and on top of stuff (cab, dinner res, itinerary), and the cafe was very nice. If you go to Orvieto you should stay here. "
"Our stay at Emme Palace was great. The staff was easy to correspond with (in English) both during and leading up to our stay. The facility is (seemingly) brand new, with modern, cleanly designed rooms. Breakfast was good as well. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Emme Palace."
"The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The view at sunset is as memorable and spectacular as the beautiful roses garden surrounding the hotel. The staff's attention is world-class. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Dinners on the terrace are fabulous and accompanied by an exquisite selection of regional fine wines. An unforgettable place."
"Staff/service was amazing. shower was also fantastic and the room was overall comfortable. Parking was okay, they gave a 24 hour day pass which was very generous, but the lot was filled up at the end of the day"
"A beautiful place! Our host was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable and breakfast was plenteous. You may want to pack ear plugs as the restaurant next door became a late-night party spot (we stayed Sat-Sun), but we were impressed by how little sound we heard, considering. We still had a great sleep, and would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!"

Bagnoregio Valle dei Calanchi
10/10 Excellent
"We were two families and we had the most wonderful week at Mario’s beautiful house. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool is amazing, the house is perfect and rustic. The views of the surrounding area are incredible. The house is on the top of a hill and the road up is very steep. So many things to do nearby, Bagnoregio Civita, Bolsena, Sacro Bosco, cascata Marmore. We had such a great week. Mario was a great host. "

"We had an excellent two week stay in this beautiful house, which is accessed down a 1.5km track, and is located in the grounds of the main property but remains secluded. The view from the terrace overlooking the valley is fabulous to wake up to or to watch the sunset behind the hills in the evening and we regularly saw wild boars grazing in the field below in the early evening. On the other side of the property you can see the nearby village of Civitella d’Agliano, which is a 2 km walk and is well worth a visit. The property has been converted to a high standard, is well equipped and very comfortable. The pool area was also excellent and well maintained. We felt entirely at home during our stay and Manuella and Martin could not have been more helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit whilst not at all intruding. The area itself lies on the beautiful border of Lazio and Umbria with lots of hilltop towns and other places to visit. Orvieto is a 30 minute drive and we also had days out in Perugia and Spoletto as well as trips to closer locations like Lake Bolsena and the UNESCO listed Civita di Bagnoregio. The area itself is very rural and lacks the crowds we have encountered when staying further north into Umbria or Tuscany but a car is essential. We would thoroughly recommend La Casa Pastore at Carpinetta for those wanting a quiet escape. "
"This is an INCREDIBLE property! Beautiful landscaping, 10 min. drive from Bagno Regio. The breakfast they served was over the top delicious with home made treats, fresh ricotta cheese, and a wide variety of choices. They make a caffe/espresso for you. Couldn't recommend this place any higher, extraordinary property and service!"
