Obvious an exterminator had been there because they were dead/dying. Just a little unsettling to wake up each morning to several dead on the floors that I had to sweep up.

Great Family Vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the open layout of Strike II and the two separate sitting areas with their own TVs and plenty of seating. Separate 1⁄2 bath on the first floor was nice. Enjoyed the front and back porches, both with steps to the ground—easier to flag down the ice cream truck! The ice maker was a fabulous amenity. I fortunately packed my crock pot and big griddle as they were not part of the kitchen stock. House is supposed to have premier trash service with no need to drag cans to the street but ours was missed on Tuesday. GCR called but despite refuse company’s promise to return on Wednesday, there was no service until the next regular pickup on Friday when we made sure to drag the cans to the street (owners may want to reconsider this expense). A small Amazon order placed for delivery to the house was routed through USPS for delivery but ended up being undeliverable—we assume because there is no physical mailbox for this house. We enjoyed our stay at Strike II, special family memories were made, and we would recommend!

Beds were comfortable, kitchen was excellent and being far away from the crowded areas was great. We’ll likely stay again!

Owners might consider a ductless unit to supplement current air conditioner for that space. Property was well maintained and clean. Ice machine was a welcome bonus. Would recommend this property and would consider staying there again.

Strike II was the perfect solution and Garden City Realty provided outstanding service in assuaging our concerns about check in and cleaning. The house is spacious, with a sweeping lawn for games and space under the house to relax on a rainy day. Only steps from the beach, the location is outstanding, and the house is well maintained.

But, the upstairs was a little hot and the toilet up there didn’t flush good. Guests didn’t enjoy staying upstairs. But overall, we had a good stay and liked the house and also liked that there were drives on both the front and back of the house! Made it to where no one was ever blocked in. Plenty of parking for everybody. Thank you for the stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location. About 2 miles from the pier where there is less noise and people. You can also use the EZ up canopies here because of the location being Georgetown county instead of Horry where they are not allowed. The house accommodated 5 adults and 3 children great. The kitchen was well equipped. But as advertised, the under counter ice maker does not work and appears it hadn’t in some time. We did call about it and a repair guy came to take a look. He had no idea and said he would put in a work order for their appliance company to come. That never happened, only received a call from GCR stating a part has been ordered. ???, what part? Anyway, don’t count on having a working ice maker. The one with the refrigerator does work. Although we still had to purchase bagged ice during the week. Also would have been nice to have an outlet under the house to run a fan or radio while sitting around , grilling, etc. As we understood it, 300 of their rental properties were rented our same week. So kudos to the cleaning teams and rental agents for making the process run smoothly. We love Garden City/ Murrells Inlet and will definitely visit again.

The handle on the refrigerator was broken but that's easily fixed. I would suggest updating to a Keurig and curtains in the master bedroom. It's very bright!

Lovely stay for a quieter part of the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 6 people sleep very comfortably in this rental. Our group did have COVID related concerns, but we felt the property was very clean and that the staff provides plenty of details to assure you that sanitizing the space is a priority. We felt safe from that perspective. Also, you are close enough to plenty of food places you can pick up from or have delivered to you - but the house seemed to be farther down the inlet, so we didn't come in contact with any large crowds (especially during the week). The outdoor shower proved useful after a long beach day and the picnic table was used 2-3 times during a quick afternoon summer storm to play games in or to work out in with some shade. Overall, for the price and quality we received in service and accommodations - we would stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: Great location with a large yard, not as busy/crowded as the Garden City pier area. House was spacious. My one complaint was cleanliness. Needs some deep down cleaning. Cloth furniture needs to be cleaned. Air vent was dirty, not to mention the filter...yikes! Dusting is a must. Had to mop the floors after we arrived because our 1 year old was filthy from crawling around. Housekeeping needs to step-it-up!!! Would recommend this property to others if it receives a deep down cleaning. Have to brag on Garden City Reality. My daughter left shoes in the closet and they went to the property and got them for us. Thanks for being honest!
