"Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. I hope to visit Oudenaarde and stay here again."

"Second time staying here & overall another positive experience. It's a great hotel, with excellent facilities if you are a cyclist and with a perfect location in Oudenaarde. Only downside on this visit, we stayed 3 nights & the room was serviced but no coffee, milk etc replenished. Also the fire alarm went off in the night and people were evacuating themselves, no staff available to help or explain. Then after standing outside for 10 minutes the alarms stopped. Still no staff explanation. Not very good if there was indeed a fire!! "

"Special holiday home, cozy place and cordial owners. The interior and winter garden are well thought-out and show that the owners have really lived there. However, it should be mentioned that the bedroom on the first floor is a walk-through room as a consequence of the building's history as former mill. WiFi is available but not strong - insufficient for streaming. But we weren't there for watching the telly... The location is perfectly suited for daytrips to Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, or Ghent.We spent a great week in the first days of April. Conny summarised it best: returning to the mill after a day of activity feels like coming home."

"The accommodation is fantastic- all the amenities you would need. Car parking is easy, there is storage and cleaning areas for bikes- so perfect for any cyclist. The location is very close to Oudenaarde- so a great location. Highly recommend "

"My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and ridiculously easy for child to climb out of. The bathroom is basic. Almost unfinished. The bathroom draws had human hair in them. Retrospective investigation of their website shows the owner chooses to argue with complainants and not deal with issues. All up. A poor experience. So poor I packed my bags and left 30 minutes after arriving. Complete waste of money and borderline scam due to the missrepresentation of what you actually get."
