When you are interested in military history, the fortresses of the defense line of Amsterdam are a must see. Build around 1900, it consists of some 46 fortresseses, batteries, dikes, dams and locks. The enemy was partly kept out by inundating the land outside the defense line. The invention of the airplane was a real spoiler for military strategists...

"The Zuwe vacation house is a clean and comfortable house with a very private and roomy backyard. The bedroom layout is unusual, 2 single bedrooms are accessed through a double bedroom, but the beds and pillows are all very comfortable. The full bathroom upstairs is roomy with a nice shower. The kitchen is well stocked (cookware, dinnerware, flatware etc) for home cooked meals. "Schönes Haus für viele Leute. Großer geräumiger Essbereich. Wir hatten etwas Stau im Bad, da nur 1 Badezimmer. Außenanlage war eine Baustelle, die auf den Fotos und im Inserat nicht so präsentiert wurde. Leider lag sehr viel Baumaterial auch mit Schrauben etc. rum. Für dennPreis waren wir enttäuscht. "
