"Was looking for something unique, comfortable and quiet while being in the heart of Amsterdam. Casper's place fit the bill and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very relaxing!"

"Ein Stern ist selbst zu viel!!! Achtung - Betrug!!! Das Boot was angeboten wird gibt es zwar aber wird ausschließlich bei booking angeboten. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. Wir hatten einen Tag vorher gelesen das es an dem Standort nicht existiert und am Anreisetag sofort Expedia kontaktiert. Die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt, nur...

"Where to start??? Gerben (and Rodinde) was the ultimate host, the houseboat was incredible, and the location was exceptional. We didn't know what to expect since the property was brand new to VRBO, so you can imagine our surprise and delight that EVERY detail had been thought through. From heated floors to plenty of kitchenware to a lighted mirror in the bathroom (not to mention the fancy Japanese toilet and sauna!), we felt very pampered. "We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"Our stay on the houseboat was a really enjoyable and unique experience! The boat itself was surprisingly comfortable, with ample space for our group. We particularly loved the novelty of living on the water. Despite being located near a major street, it was remarkably quiet and peaceful, which was a pleasant surprise. "I loved my stay at Volkshotel! It’s well-connected and just steps from the metro, making it super convenient to get around. The interior is hip and stylish, with lots of personality. The highlight for me was definitely the sauna and jacuzzi — such a great way to unwind. I had hoped to work from the coworking area, but it was often full and a bit tricky to find a seat. Still, overall a fantastic experience and I’d gladly return!"

"This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel since we had such a positive experience the first time around. It’s located in an excellent location, very walkable, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are quiet and modern with great views. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom is small. The staff left nice welcoming touches in our room to acknowledge we are returning guests, which was a great touch! "
