Brookside Cottage has it all! A cozy, open concept guest house with exquisite views, Brookside is perfect for a country getaway or ski base. Located in the Hills of the Headwaters, it's close to a number of conservation areas, including the Boyne and Mono Cliffs. Hiking, skiing, golfing, snowshoeing and biking are close at hand. Big skies for astronomers and astrophotography!

We offer 32 acres of wooded trails and fields for walking or snowshoeing. The area boasts a number of fine restaurants, boutiques, farmers' markets, museums and local artisans. We are 15 min from Mansfield Ski Club, Mansfield Outdoor Centre and Hockley Resort, and 60 min from Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach.

Ideal for couples, solo adventurers or a small family. Perfect for 2, the cottage sleeps a maximum of 4. We are dog friendly and welcome well behaved, socialized dogs for an additional fee of $20/night/dog.

Inside, rustic wood accents complement the modern amenities. In floor heating in shower area will keep you toasty in the winter and the new, fully stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking and is open to the living space, fireplace and entertainment area. Upstairs is a small loft and a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. (additional queen-sized double high air mattress bed or twin double high air mattress bed can be provided for children and extra guests) From every window, you'll have a view of the Mulmur Hills.

Brookside Cottage has dedicated WiFi, Satellite SmartTV, Disney Netflix, Prime (login with your account), DVD player/movies and Xbox.

Recommend snow tires/AWD/or 4x4 in winter months as the area can be blustery.

Quiet Country Relaxation

Nice hidden getaway

The cottage is a cozy place with almost everything provided, and we even hade a chance to feed the horses. Highly recommended for family with young kids.

Rural paradise

Great place to relax

Beautiful property and location close to hiking trails and popular local restaurants. Brookside Cottage has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful getaway. Another Great Stay

This was our third stay at Brookside, as always sparkling clean cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. The dogs loved running around the property and sitting beside the horses as we gave them some carrots. This is a must place to visit if you just want to get away for a few days. We'll be back in the spring.

Great getaway during a pandemic or anytime!

This was a perfect spot for some quiet time in the country. The cottage is perfect for a couple, and we had our baby with us which worked fine. The property and host were lovely. We especially liked the map of the large farm property which showed hiking trails.

Great family escape

We had a wonderful time at Brookside cottage. Everything was perfect! Our little dog loved the trails and our two boys enjoyed the woods and hiking and all of the board games and Xbox games too. A great getaway and such a cosy well appointed place - the hosts are incredible and really think of everything! We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful, Peaceful Country Oasis

We had a fantastic stay as part of our "baby-moon" before the arrival of our little one. The cottage was clean and outfitted with everything you'd need - nothing was overlooked! We loved walking the trails with our dog and were fortunate enough to have Taria and her pup Ava join for us for a good runaround. Thank you Taria, we had a wonderful time!

Well kitted out cottage and friendly host

We stayed at Taria’s cottage with our two kids and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very well stocked with everything you need for a country getaway. Loads of board games, blankets to snuggle under by the fire, slippers, hot cocoa, etc. It’s a charming cottage on a beautiful property. My kids also enjoyed meeting the horses.

Love this spot!

Second time staying at the Brookside Cottage. Beautiful place to be and really gives you a chance to unwind. Taria is a fabulous host and always respects your privacy.
