Charming Cottage with Private Pool, elegant Spa and outdoor Kitchenette

CALMAR Cottage is situated in the northern parish of St. Peter, one (1) minute away from the world famous Mullins Beach and Royal Westmoreland Club and Indulgence Spa.

The Cottage is 5 minutes away from Speightstown and 15 minutes from Holetown where you will find local and international shopping, Restaurants, Post Office, Medical Offices and Banks.

On arrival at the Cottage guests receive:
- a complimentary bottle of wine
- bottled water and soft drinks
- a sample of sweet treats

This spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, cottage sleeps 1-6 persons in two (2) King beds and one (1) Queen bed.

All bedrooms are fitted with air condition facilities and flat screen televisions with cable. The Master bedroom has a King bed and ensuite bathroom.

Guests can enjoy Calmar's private pool or lounge in the relaxation area watching their favorite program on the 70inch television.

The Gazebo provides an intimate relaxing area with a 5-seater Sunrise Spa including Hydrotherapy Jets, LED illuminated waterfall and Bluetooth Audio system all surrounded by palms and tropical plants .

The Cottage also boasts a fully-equipped gym with an upper deck which may be used for yoga.

The outdoor Kitchenette and Barbeque area comprises a midnight-blue countertop and stainless-steel faucet. Cabinets provide storage and a small fridge is also provided. A Gas or Coal Barbeque Grill is provided.

The fully equipped and stylish kitchen has a beautiful granite countertop and backsplash. Stainless steel LG refrigerator, Double oven gas stove and Dishwasher compliment this ultra modern area.
A microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and kettle are also provided.

WiFi is available throughout the cottage.

For our younger guests we provide a crib, play-cot and a high chair.

Linen and cleaning services are provided for the Cottage every two (2) nights. Bath/Hand/Wash towels as well as Beach towels and Pool towels are provided.
The Cottage is equipped with a washing machine, ironing board and iron.

Transportation
Airport transfers to and from the Cottage are complimentary.
If you prefer to rent a car and drive from the airport we will meet you at the airport and escort you to the Cottage.
There is public and private bus transportation within 3 minutes’ walk from the cottage.
If you prefer to rent a car to tour around the island, the Cottage has a private car port.

We had the most wonderful stay at Calmar Cottage. It is so comfy and well equipped. The location is just perfect - very close to the most beautiful beaches. Charles was a fantastic host and we had the best time exploring the island with his localknowledge.We can’t wait to return to Barbados and Calmar Cottage.

Communication was wonderful. We arrived late but were graciously picked up by Charles.We had delicious cooked marlin, cheese sandwiches, fresh fruit and cupcakes waiting for us. Along with some items in the fridge.The kitchen has every item you may possibly need but can get a little crowded and warm. ( We were a group of 4) A working ceiling fan would help as there is no AC in that room.There is no AC in the living space also but that was never a problem as we kept the doors to the pool open and the breeze was lovely. We had breakfast by the pool everyday.The cottage itself is a little dated but kept very clean. Eunice our house keeper was amazing and even made us some macaroni pie and more marlin and...SHE IRONS THE SHEETS!!!!!We were woke by a family of monkeys playing on the roof every morning which by the end of our 12 day stay we were giggling about. We would start our day by the pool and then decide which beach we would go to. Tough life right?We would take The Reggae bus , as we call it , to Speightstown and go to Heywoods Beach. Swim and then have a fish cutter at KRAZY BOOM BOX ( Tell Kasheera Wendie and Music Man sent you) or have one at the Caboose. Stop at Happyness Cafe , Sand ST or Little Bristol on our walk home. Stop At Fishermans pub to get some chicken to mix into our pigeon peas and rice for dinner ,Jordans Market for anything else we might need and enjoy a leisurely walk home.Calmar Cottage is a good spot .Any concerns we had were promptly addressed

Comfy cottage with air-conditioned bedrooms and gorgeous outdoor pool and breezy dining area. Eunice keeps the place spotless with laundering linens and cleaning every two or three days. Charles is a terrific host — so kind and very generous with his local knowledge and his recommendations for activities and restaurants. We loved Mullens for its local food joints and beaches and friendly folks

Although Charles the host was quite friendly and his housekeeper did a great job keeping our place tidy every few days during our 8-day stay, the house and grounds could really use a deep clean and update. Every corner of the house was full of unecessary dusty "stuff" - felt dark and cluttered. Dishes / pots etc. in the kitchen all had to be washed, the grounds / patio needed cleaning & upkeeping, the gym was unuseable as it was quite dirty and smelled heavily of mold and looked more like a storage room. Otherwise the location is perfect and with some inexpensive TLC the place would be an absolute gem.

We had a perfect Christmas holiday the cottage a real Christmas tree was a nice touch the villa is great everything you need and perfect location walking distance to Speightstown and Mullins Beach on the doorstep. No need for a car the buses are great and regular and taxis great Charles the owner and his sister Maxine are super helpful The pool and hot tub are a perfect added bonus We will definitely be back again thank you

Wonderful stay in Mulins

We had a fabulous time here- the location of the home was wonderful. We were able to walk to the beach, restaurants and a local convenience store. What we really enjoyed the most was having the pool/ hot tub/patio and outdoor grilling and eating to start and end each day with. The rooster found his perch in the tree, announcing his arrival at 6pm every evening and the monkeys played tag on the roof a couple of mornings. Charles and Eunice were so helpful and welcoming! We had an amazing time!

Great place to stay as a family

Booking was seamless with lots of contact from host. Being picked up from the airport was great as no hassle and then the accommodation was perfect for our needs - 3 big bedrooms so kids had their own space, great outdoor space with lovely jacuzzi and pool and fully kitted out kitchen and living area was lovely - would stay again in a heartbeat as right near Mullins beach where we swam every day and went to cicis and seashed for food - our hosts were also amazing and we will be back

Location, Location, Location

Just returned from a great 12 night stay at Calmar Cottage. We loved the Mullins area and hope to return here again. The cottage is a quick walk to the beach, great restaurants ( Sea Shed a must!!), & welcoming rum shops. The gas station at the end of the street is great for essentials - well stocked. You can easily walk into Speightstown. We loved Adrian’s Beach Bar and rented chairs/umbrellas there most days. The cottage is cozy, with all the amenities you need. Beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the housekeeping service every 2 days. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. While we mostly swam at the beach, we did use the pool and the hot tub. Having Charles pick us up at the airport and return us as well was a great service as we did not rent a car. Overall, we had a grand stay.

Lovely Stay

A gem of a stay in an excellent location!

The property is a great space for 6 people to stay. We were 4 adults and 2 young boys. All rooms were clean, of generous size with huge beds! Great kitchen, well equipped with every gadget and gizmo you could need. Great living area with full size dining table, big sofa and mega TV with all the apps you’d expect. Amazing pool, hot tub and comprehensive gym! Location to a perfect for a 2-min walk to the beautiful Mullins Beach. All beach towels were provided.Whilst the villa is amazing, it has a the kindness and generosity of Charles and his family that sets this place apart! Charles is an exceptional host! Would highly recommend stayed no here! We had a fabulous stay!

Perfect Spot

Calmar cottage was the perfect spot for the first leg of our trip. Tony made us feel very much at home and very welcomed. The special treats upon arrival were a nice touch. The location was great. An easy walk to beaches, dining and Speightstown. The monkeys were fun to watch. With airport transfers included, this was the ideal place for us. We'll be back for sure. What more can you ask for?! This home is located in a great location. Mullins beach is within a 2 min walk with options for dinning and take away food. Many sightseeing options are within a short drive or ride on the local bus. Charles, Eunice and Eulene make you feel at home and provide great recommendations for touring. Linens and towels are changed every two days along with general housekeeping. The home was a cozy place to wake up and come home to at the end of the day. Air conditioning keeps the bedrooms cool and the beds are comfortable. The main room has a big couch and large screen TV ideal for movie nights. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with a dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer on site if you need to wash any clothing. Our teenagers loved using the fully equipped gym, hot tub and pool, and appreciated having their own rooms to relax in. Monkeys visited us a few times and the stars visible from the backyard at night were stunning. Us adults spent a ton of time sipping coffee and wine, and munching on snacks while sitting on the comfy patio furniture near the pool. The place is equipped with wifi strong enough for Zoom meetings and did not fail with multiple people using it at the same time. Thank you for such a great visit, Charles, Eunice and Eulene!

Excellent, beautiful and safe location

The property was exactly as you see it from the pictures. Charles was an excellent host - made us feel very welcomed ( plus the treats were delicious!). The pool and jacuzzi were used everyday - the kids especially enjoyed. The location was perfect- walking distance to Mullins beach and local restaurants (Shea Shed a must). It is a quiet area and felt very safe as first time visitors.

Kleine oase

Voor ons was dit een super plek! Net even weg van de drukkere straat in een prettige kleinschalige lokale buurt met vrijstaande huizen. Mooi afgezonderde tuin met fraai zwembad en jacuzzi. De gastheer en vrouw uitermate vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ondanks wat technische mankementen van apparatuur in het huis (die ook wel snel zijn verholpen) hebben wij het erg naar de zin gehad. Wat ons betreft is het wel handig om een auto te huren zodat je het eiland goed kan ontdekken.

Family holiday at Calmar Cottage

Perfect place for our family holiday. Charles is a great host and went out of way to make our first time in Barbados very special. Excellent location with plenty to do within walking distance around Mullins and Speightstown. We particularly enjoyed the lovely pool and garden in a peaceful neighbourhood.

Charming Calmar Cottage

Loved staying at Calmar Cottage, had all your home comforts as well as a/c in bedrooms a fabulous pool and great outdoor area, Charles and Maxine the hosts were lovely and very accommodating, Mullins beach was only a couple of minutes walk away and beautiful, lovely places to eat within walking distance, would definitely recommend staying at Calmar Cottage😊

Excellent villa

The villa was exactly as described a 3 minute walk to the beach the pictures of the pool area don’t do it justice the pool is private and shady for the most iof the day the children loved jumping in the pool first thing in the morning

Wonderful house!

We loved staying at Calmar Cottage. It was a perfect location wtih a two minute walk to Mullins Beach and several restaurants. The house itself was comfortable. We loved eating outside on the veranda in the oasis of a backyard. We used the pool and hot tub everyday. Everyone slept comfortably on the beds in the AC. Plenty of ice and filtered water from the fridge. We also enjoyed seeing the monkeys in the mornings. We'd stay here again without hesitation. Charles and Eunice were lovely.
