"This was not a good experience. Advertised as having a pool, full-service spa, restaurant, coffee shop etc it had NONE of these. Worse, the 'queen bed' was a very small double, and the 'premium bedding' was threadbare hospital sheets and a nasty brown blanket (see photo) On arrival you are hit with a very hefty 'cleaning fee' that is non-negotiable, a large fee for sheets, more for towels, toilet paper etc - so you have pretty well doubled the nightly charge on arrival. "we had an excellent week with Olivier and Nathalie who were friendly and understanding. the gite was the only one on the site and was connected to the hosts main house. we shared a pool with the hosts and were able to have swim every day. the gite was advertised for up to 5 persons but there was only two of us so loads of space. nice big rooms (for 2) and a decent fridge and freezer. great location for exploring Niort and La Rochelle plus the local area"
