Enjoy star gazing and sunrises from your back deck overlooking our rescue farm…the pasture that connects to the cabin yard is the retirement home of the famous wild pony stallion Fabio! Enjoy farm fresh eggs, watching the goats play and bring your Pet to the fenced yard!
Situated on the top of a small hillside overlooking our horse farm and animal rescue, is our cute little board and batten cabin, Wind Kist.
Its the perfect spot for some R&R. Grill on the back porch gas grill or enjoy the evenings in the back yard swing while listening to the nearby pond nightsounds and gazing at the stars. Enjoy watching the little hens and mini goats in the attached paddock (next to the cabin`s fenced yard), even gather your own farm-fresh eggs for your morning bfast! Take in the sunrise from the back deck with your coffee and enjoy watching the formerly wild ponies play in the pasture below the cabin (retirement home to the famous `Fabio` of Grayson Highlands).
Inside you will find the living room to be very comfortable with a real woodstove for cold wintry nights. Or relax on the double power sofa with full recline. Smart TV also has DISH for all your entertainment needs. There is high speed fiber Wifi for your use as well.
The master bedroom boasts a king 4-poster bed with newer raiseable sleep number bed for a great nights sleep and awaken to the long range mountain view out your big picture window!
The full bathroom is small but efficient and the tub/shower combo has a luxury rainfall showerhead.
The kitchen is small but well stocked with main essential items plateware, pots and pans. It has a gas stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher and full size fridge. The quaint dining area has a small 2 person table and chairs where you can take in the long-range views out the window.
Just sit back and enjoy the cabin or take a tour of the rescue farm or enjoy a stroll along the wood trails throughout the property. Or if you want to adventue into the area there are cute small mountain towns, shops, restaurants nearby. Tubing, Canoeing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Rock Climbing, Biking etc all in a very close proximity.

the cabin, back porch, fenced yard, private parking are all yours during your stay -- there is one small room on the end of the cabin that is storage and remains locked.
We live on the connected farm property and generally available for any needs you may have
There are 2 little chickens (no noisy rooster, just hens), 2 miniature goats and a few mini horses/ponies that surround the cabin back deck/yard so you will hear them on occasion. We also run a full farm and animal rescue on the lower farm property so at times you may hear tractors or diesel trucks or the sweet donkey lol.
