My sister had stayed at the cabin before, and raved about how beautiful it was. We decided that it would make a great setting for a family vacation, so we reserved two cabins. The drive to the cabin, on first glance was a little concerning. There are some rocky roads and some sketchy potholes here or there. BUT, it's a country road. It's exactly as it should be. Just take your time, and go slow. It's worth it!
When we got to the cabins, it was an incredible sight! The river was just behind, so close you could smell the water. The view of the mountain/bluffs was just awe-inspiring.
We were blown away with how clean and homey it felt when we walked into the cabins. It felt as if it had been part of our family and we had been going there for years. Quaintly decorated, nothing over the top, and it all felt so warm and inviting.
The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets if needed. The ceiling fans were nice and quiet, no creaking, clicking, or groaning of aged motors. It was delightful!
There were a few nitpicks and extremely minor things like "Oh, there's a cobweb in the corner outside in the covered porch". Those types of things. The inside was clean and comfortable, and it was clear that they have a pest control service that comes out to spray. Aside from the stray fly or two, we didn't see any sign of bugs INSIDE the cabin. It was so wonderful to see!
The first morning we spent at the cabins, we were already making plans for our next visit!
