While visiting Cooperstown for Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony we stayed at Abel’s Acres. The house was huge, clean, comfortable and the perfect setting for relaxing in evenings! Giant kitchen equipped with everything needed for cooking. Quiet area for enjoying nature and star gazing. Perfect place for family gatherings.
Great property, lots of room, very clean, kitchen fully stocked with everything needed. Game room lots of fun. enjoyed use of outdoor grills. Owner called prior to our arrival to ensure we had all needed info. Only issue was main cable tv in living room not operating although minor issue as not the main reason for our visit. Would definitely stay again if in the area. 25 minutes from Cooperstown but not difficult to get to town.
The house was gorgeous. Beautiful location and the yard was large. The beds are comfortable and rooms are great size. Very clean house! We enjoyed the game room since it rained the entire weekend. Lots of laughs we shared. We would recommend staying here. Close enough drive to beautiful Cooperstown. Definitely worth the drive. We are a veteran's organization and this was a veteran's retreat. (Homeward Bound Adirondacks)We will keep this place in mind for our next retreat. The host was very pleasant and accommodating..
The house was beautiful, with everything we needed, and more! We were surprised at how well-stocked it was, from the extra linens, to the kitchen appliances. The property was great and we were able to explore the woods a bit. Clean, comfortable… we would absolutely recommend this home.
Abel’s Acres was perfect for our 2 families - 4 adults and 5 boys. Plenty of room and a ton of activities for the kids. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay as we visited Cooperstown. Will definitely be looking to stay there for future trips.
This is our 2nd year in a row staying here. The place is spacious, clean and close to the ASV baseball tournament. We love it here and will be back! Thank you!
This was our 2nd trip here and it did not disappoint.
Perfect place for our family to spread out. Lots for kids to do. They loved the games as well as the bats and balls outside.
Had a great time. This is our third time at Able's Acrea. Everything is clean and well stocked. We also love the open floor concept and the the porches.
The house was a great fit for our 3 families who came to watch our sons at Cooperstown. Plenty big enough and rooms for everyone. Loved the kids room with all the twin beds.
Beautiful house and amenities. Although somewhat remote, great location for visit to Cooperstown Baseball HOF and Oneota Baseball village.Plenty of property and decking for outside activities.Plenty of space for multiple families.
This house was the best equipped rental I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at many. The kitchen is very well stocked, had everything we needed and then some. Extremely spacious, lots of towels etc, and absolutely spotlessly clean. Host was very kind, and responsive to my questions when I was there during a snowstorm - driveway was plowed very promptly. We really enjoyed staying at this house for Christmas, and if the opportunity arises, I'd love to stay there again in the spring/summer to explore the outside. Very very quiet and peaceful, even the heating system is quiet, we slept like babies for the first time in years! Just a great place.
We stayed here while my son played at cooperstown dreamspark. It’s about 20 minutes from the fields. We had a wonderful time. Lots of woods to explore when you have time. Many towns nearby for food and fun!
This house was perfect for our multi-family Cooperstown visit! We had plenty of space + amenities! The kids played in the basement game room and outside the entire time. It was nice for the adults to take over the large deck while the kids ran around. Highly recommend! It is about 25 minutes from Dreams Park but no issues from us!
What a beautiful place. Well taken care of, plenty of room and the game room is fantastic. We were in town for the last derby primaries by Spinning Wheels in Morris, NY!! Had a great time!! Our only regret what not be able to spend more time at the house.
Thanks Ray for excellent communication and sharing your beautiful home!!
Cool house. So much room!! All amenities you could want.Very comfortable accommodations. Trip into Cooperstown for was easy. Very rural area so it getting back to house with daylight is a must. Winding roads and no street lighting. But in late spring until clocks turn back it’s not a problem as it stays lighter longer.
Nice large house with lots of amenities. Kids took advantage of all the games. Owner was very attentive in addressing one small matter we had. Nicely situated half-way between Cooperstown and Oneonta. Mattresses could use an upgrade.
This property was fantastic. Ray was easy to work with, answered questions quickly, able to accommodate adding an extra night, allowed us to host a team dinner. Everything was so clean, the kitchen was well equipped. We found an issue with the air conditioner and he got someone scheduled right away to fix it, was considerate of when that person would come. Going back and forth to all star village was an easy 17 minute drive. This house did not disappoint!
We had a fantastic time at this place. Such a great and spacious place for groups of people. The basement has air hockey, foosball, ping-pong, Xbox. This is perfect for relaxing and playing, especially if you have kids. There are so many spaces for people to sit and eat throughout the house. it is very clean organized, and available. We stayed here with my family for my son’s baseball tournament in Cooperstown. It’s about a 25 minute drive to dream park. It’s a bit of a drive but the roads are smooth and it’s an easy drive. We also got a chance to see a lot of wildlife in the area . We would definitely stay here again. A couple things to note is that you should bring your own toiletries. If you are planning on doing a lot of cooking at the house, I would recommend bringing either Ziploc bags or plastic wrap to store things in the refrigerator. Otherwise the house is fully stocked with plates, silverware, cooking utensils, and cooking devices.
We stayed at Abels Acres last week with another family while our sons' team played at Cooperstown Dreams Park, which was about 25 mins away. Abel's Acres is a fantastic property. Ray has thought of everything you could possibly need! There are hooks in the bedrooms and bathrooms for clothes and towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, laundry detergent, so we didn't need to get any of these things at the store. The basement is amazing! It has air hockey, ping pong and fuzzball tables and two Xboxes with so many games. My older son and his friend weren't bored! The bedrooms were spacious and linens and towels were provided. The property is well maintained and quiet. It was a great place to rest and recharge after long days of baseball. Ray was available by text or phone with any questions we had. We will definitely stay there if we visit Cooperstown again!
Our family stayed here for our son's week in Cooperstown. The house and property were perfect. Ray was very responsive, allowed us to hook up a RV on the property and host a team dinner. The boys loved the game room and the yard space for wiffle ball. We are hoping to use this place again when we come in 2 years for our other son.
We loved our stay at Abels Acres! It's so beautiful there. The house was amazing and had everything you'd need while staying there. There was plenty of space for everyone both inside and out and the game room was so fun! We saw possums, ground hogs, fire flies, turtles and a beaver. Highly recommend this property!
Ample living space for 2 families and tons of stuff for the non-baseball playing siblings along for the ride!Nice and clean and Very well stocked to accommodate.
